Birthday Butterflies

 Hello and welcome crafty friends!
I'm popping in (at the last minute) with
a card I made for a couple challenges:

(This post contains affiliate links, at no additional cost to you!)

I used the Shower of Flutters stencil and blended three shades of
magenta from bottom left to almost top right, leaving some
white space at the corner. Using images from the
Trendy Butterflies stamp set, I randomly stamped over the
outlines of some of the butterflies. I placed the stencil back over
the images and splattered (too much!) black paint over the panel.
I trimmed the panel using the Crazy Double Running Stitch die
in the largest size. I then die cut twice, the Happy Birthday from
the Everyday Sentiments die set, stacked and glued to the card.

This card is much more vibrant in real life, but the day I
took the pictures, it was very overcast. Ugh!
Well, that's it for now. Thank you for
visiting, and I hope that you have a great
rest of your day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #238 - L is for Lindsey

Hello and welcome crafty peeps.
On July 21, 2022, we lost our dear sister Lindsey.
To say that we miss her tremendously, not to mention her fun,
snarky sense of humor would be an understatement.

In her honor, for the new challenge at the
we invite you to create a project that was inspired

Some of you may have known that Lindsey and I shared a love
for the show, Dr. Who, especially the 10th Doctor, played by David Tennant.
For my card, I used papers with a galaxy/star theme. I printed
the TARDIS (free clipart) and colored it with spectrum noir markers.
The sentiment is a quote by the 10th Doctor, also printed out.
I thought it also tied in with Lindsey's love of reading.

In her honor, we'd love to see
your projects that were inspired by Lindsey.
(Please make sure that you let us know what it is, as it
may not be obvious).  Clicking on her name above will take you
to her blog, where you can view it for inspiration.

Edna and the Sisterhood send our love to her family, friends,
and crafty friends worldwide.

Tropical hello

 Hello and welcome crafty friends.
I've got a card to share:

I die cut the flamingo from a fushia panel I made with Magenta
Nuance powder dye spritzed with water. I found that snippet of
pretty yellow-green/blue paper in my stash and thought it
would make a nice contrast for my flamingo. I was thrilled to find
that pink strip of paper matched the pink of the bird. 😊

I used a few markers to color the beak for a more realistic look.
I'm really liking how this one came out!

That's it for now. Thank you very much for visiting!
I hope that you have a great rest of your day!

Making Spirits Bright

 Hello and welcome crafty friends!
I have a card to share with you
that I was going to link up
a color challenge, but of course,
I didn't pay attention to when it
ended, so I missed it. Grrrr!
Anyhoo, here's what I came up with:

I even tried making a bokeh backgroud to mimic the graphic.
IRL, the circles don't look so undefined, but that's
just my crack photography skills at work here. LOL!

Here's the inside of my card:

One more Christmas card made for the year. Yay!
That's all for now. Thank you for stopping by!
Have a good day!

Hello snarky peeps and welcome!
We have a new challenge starting at the
C for Critters!

I had a idea of what I wanted to do for this challenge,
and I love how it turned out, but in hindsight,
I'm not sure if sea turtles are considered 'critters'.
Oh well, I'm sticking with it:

Not so much in snark, but punny is just fine too!

I hope that you'll join us in our Critter challenge at the

Let's Shell-ebrate!

 Hello and welcome, crafty friends!
I took some time to do some organizing in
my craft room. Mostly, reorganizing my
extensive collection of die cuts. I store mine in ArtBins.
I'm now up to 9 bins, and mostly already full of dies.
I may have a hoarding problem. LOL!
While putting things away and straightening up,
one of the new-to-me stamp and die sets,
Floral Shells by Pink & Main,
bellowed to me to be used for the first time.
These are some gorgeous images of shells
that have various flowers in and around them.
I experimented with only using two colors of markers
and the colorless blender to color them.
I love how they look like they are glowing!
Here are two cards I made with two of the images:

Here's the finished inside:

The nautilus stencil is new and also the first time used.
I just stacked both panels, cut on an angle and had four
half pieces to work with.

Here's the other card I made with the two other panels:

The finishing touch was to add some glitter glue to
the flowers for a bit of sparkle.

Now, to create cards using the last two images!
Thanks for visiting. I hope that you have a great day!

Happy Beeday to you

 Hello crafty friends and welcome!
I'm popping in with a card
I made over the last couple of days.
(Crafting and carpel tunnel is not a good mix.)

I made a shaker card!
I've had these adorable bee shaker bits for at least a year
and finally decided to crack open the package.
(Yes, I'm a hoarder of craft supplies. No judging. LOL!)
The first thing I did was blend a darker shade of
yellow ink in the bottom corner of my
card base using a hexagon stencil.

I die cut the main panel using a
hexagon die, along with two smaller
ones from some paper scraps.
After I glued acetate behind the
large die cut, I added foam strips on
the back of the panel, sprinkled some of
the shaker bits in the space, and carefully
adhered the main panel onto the card base.

The sentiment and bee images were stamped, colored and cut,
then I adhered everything else.
I gave the bees a coating of glitter drops for some sparkle.
A simple sentiment finishes the inside of my card.

That's it for now. Thank you for visiting, and I
hope you have a great day!
