SHOPPING OUR STASH #327 - Halloween!

Hello friends and welcome back!
This week at SHOPPING OUR STASH,
in honor of today being my most favorite holiday of the year,
we want to see your Halloween creations!
(Plus you now will have a head start for next year! Bonus!)
Here's the card I made:

 and the inside:

This card makes me so happy, as I went back to my love of lots of layers. I was stalking
Pinterest, and found this card by Ginny Nemchak, and knew at once I was
going to case it into a Halloween card. Thank you for the inspiration Ginny!
I found some awesome stash that I forgot I had as I was going through my
Halloween stuff: those spiderweb photo corners, the Petaloo flowers,
and those green felt flourishes.
This is a fairly large card 5" x 7", because the image I used for the main panel is 3" x 4".
Now all I have to do is make an envelope that has some depth to it so I can
mail it out to a lucky family member next year. LOL!

Still have the itch to make more Halloween cards or projects? Well then,
simply link them up at Shopping Our Stash so we can admire your work!
Need more ideas? Then do yourself a favor and check out what my
teammies created for your viewing pleasure, and leave them
some bloggy lovin!
Thanks for visiting!

And now, a guy card

Hello crafty friends.
I want to share a card I just made.
A guy card.
You know, the kind that are really hard to make?
Yeah, those.
Check it:

Oh look, snark on the inside:

Here's a much better picture to show the shininess of the heat embossing:

So this is the crazy thing I did for this card: I first embossed the main panel using the
timepiece embossing folder. Then I carefully (but not even remotely so) inked the raised
image with Versamark ink, and heat embossed in copper.
BUT FIRST, I had to take a teeny tiny paintbrush and painstakingly brush out
all the powder that covered most of every place else. And yes I used an embossing bag first.
 Did I mention painstaking?
I think I was brushing off powder for at least 30 to 40 minutes before I was able
to finally heat emboss it. And I didn't get every. single. bit., but it looks
a heck of a lot better from it's original appearance.
The things we do for our craft.
(Oh, and if you thought that was crazy, may I just add that I made two panels!)
That will be a card for another post, though.
Anyhoo, I found some copper colored card stock that matched pretty well so I cut it
to the sizes I needed, stamped my sentiments, adhered the panels and called this card done.
Now, it's time for me to go and make more stuff in my craft room.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a great rest of the day!

Pink Christmas

Hello crafty friends!
I'm popping in today with a card made for a few challenges,
but most importantly for the

Lauren and Stephanie are at it again, raising money
to donate to the

They will both donate two dollars for every Christmas/holiday/winter card or project
linked up between October 13 thru 25!
The only catch? Your card or project must feature the
color pink predominately on it.
Easy peasy (pink)lemon(ade) squeezy!
Here's my card:

 and the inside:

I love the combination of pink/gray/white/silver.
My ornament was stamped and heat embossed in silver EP, then fussy cut.
I punched a hole in the hanger and added some dark pink floss.
To continue the silver shininess, I edged a white card stock panel with versamark, sprinkled
more silver EP on it and heat set it. It made for a great matte for the pink DP I found
in my paper stash!

Ooh! Shiny!

If you haven't played along before, now's a great time to participate!
It's for such an important cause.
Now, I want to go and make some more pink colored Christmas cards,
and I hope you will too!
Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!

This guy is too cute to spook, wouldn't ya say?

Butterfly wishes

Hello and welcome friends!
Just popping in with a quick card that I made for a few challenges:

 and the inside:

Trying to capture the shimmer on the butterfly:

I'm hoping that the purples I chose were close to the damson color and of course my vertical
element was the pearls with the butterfly! The butterfly and sentiments were stamped using
Elderberry ink by Memento. (sometimes purple on purple shows up as more black. Just sayin)

Well, that's it for now. Come back tomorrow for my Shopping Our Stash post!
