SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #151 - H is for Headache

Hello and welcome snarky peeps!
Our first challenge of the year is H for Headache.
So, I had some fun with my paints and stencils and made an art journal page:

I found a meme with this sentiment and built my page around it.
(Note to self: find a less wordy meme in future!) Why? Because I
used an alphabet stamp set to stamp. every. letter. to. form. my. words. UGH!
Grab your beverage of choice. Here come some process pics:

One last look:

I hope that you get a chance to play along in our Headache challenge at the
Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! We'd love to see your take on it. For more
inspiration, do check out what my Sisters, and our first Queen of the new year,
Julie, have created for your viewing pleasure.

Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #402 - Gone Fishin'

Hello crafty peeps and welcome!
It's the start of a new challenge at
Gone Fishin' is our theme this fortnight. We'd like to see
fish themed or a fish on your projects.
I made a couple punny fish cards:

For my first card, I broke out these creepy-cute fishes and colored them
with Spectrum Noir markers. The background is a gelli print that I made last
year. I simply used a circle stencil that I blended over it. I used my
computer to print out the sentiment.

Here's the inside:

My Twofer is yet another punny (and perhaps bizarre), card:

Fish-as-Christmas-Ornaments? Sure, why not?
I stamped two different sizes of pine boughs with two colors of distress inks.
Stamped, colored and fussy cut my fish and popped them up with foam
squares. I dug in my Christmas stash and found these ancient mylar light bulb
stickers. Last, I tied some silver floss around the fish tails, you know,
because they needed to be all festive like. LOL!

Here's the inside of this card:

I hope that you find some time to join in our Fish challenge at
Shopping Our Stash! We look forward to seeing what you come up with.

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #134 - W is for WTF!

Hey snarky peeps, welcome back!
It's time for the new challenge at the
This time around, the letter du jour is
W for WTF!

Whether you interpret that to mean using 'WTF' on your project, or
making something that makes you think: WTF?!, we want to see it!

I went with the latter for my art journal spread:

Once again, a meme that I saw on the internet was my spark of inspiration.
Here's some pics on how I created this:
Brayer various pink, red, and orange paints.

Add same paints plus white through various stencils.

Doodle around stenciled images with various markers.

Stamp, fussy cut and glue the faces onto flowers with matte medium.

I found the perfect horse image in a NatGeo magazine.
(unbelievably, it only took looking through five of them to find it)
I drew the horn, colored with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut.
Stamped, colored and fussy cut the lady image, then glued them down
using matte medium. I swiped a green ink pad
along the edges.

Smudged a black pencil around the unicorn and lady.
I used some gelli print leftovers to die cut the grass border a gazillion times,
then glued them down with matte medium. Once it dried, I trimmed
around the edges.

I used an alphabet stamp set to stamp the sentiment on typing paper,
fussy cut and glued down. Once dry I doodled around the words
with a couple markers.

One more time:

So now it's your turn to show us your WTF creations! We'd love
to see them in the SOSS gallery. Need more ideas? Simply check out
what my Sistahs, and our newest Queen and GD Granne, have
created for your viewing pleasure.

SHOPPING OUR STASH #343 - Stencils

Hello crafty friends and welcome!
Time for a new challenge at

Speaking of new, check out our new banner and side bar
badge that the uber talented Lauren created!
You are da bomb!!

This week's challenge is super easy: dust off those neglected
stencils you've been hoarding and create something with them!
Here's may card:

 Here's the inside:
I bought this stencil sometime last year and, of course,
never used it until now. I applied embossing paste over it and once dry
carefully tapped my VersaMark ink pad over the raised design and
heat embossed in gold EP. I did have to retrace a few spots with the
VersaMark pen and repeat but it turned out pretty awesome IMHO.

 Ooh! Shiny!

I thought the snarky sentiment went so well for a birthday card because
aging = C.R.S. (Can't Remember Sh*t)
(Well, at least it does for me. *wink*)

We hope to see your fabulous projects in our gallery this
week at Shopping Our Stash! For more inspiration do check
out what my teammies created to wow you!
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #90 - M is for Mink

Hello snarky peeps!
For the next two weeks,
challenge you to create something that has a furry animal on it!
Any furry critter will do.
You'd think with being a dog owner I'd have gone with that animal, but no:

That face! That is THE perfect image of a cat if I ever saw one! LOL!
And of course, I went with a snarky sentiment.
But wait, I couldn't stop at one, so I made another card:

I know this cat could have been singing, but I saw him as lamenting the stupidity of humans.
(Like the current dumb ass sitting in the White House, for example.)

So now it's your turn to create something with a furry critter on it. Just link up at
the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers so we may admire it! For more ideas, please
do visit my Sisters in Snark, and our newest Queen of Snark: Mimi,
and leave them some bloggy lovin.

Thanks for stopping by!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #80 - Q is for Queen

Make way for Queen Edna!
Doesn't she look awesome?!
Big props to Sistah Lee, our graphics guru!

This fortnight at the SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS we want to
see your take on the word QUEEN!
It could be a Mother's Day card, something you made for your
best friend, or whatever else you can come up with in regards to a Queen!

Here's my snarky take on it:

I broke out my Magenta Nuance powder dyes again for the background. Love how it turned out! After the panel dried, I spattered white acrylic paint onto it.
At this point I realized that the paint spatters were going all over the place,
Like in my wine glass.
SONOFA!

Luckily, the glass was mostly empty. After I washed it out and reloaded the wine,
I stamped the bathing beauty, colored her with Prisma color pencils, and glued
her on...crookedly. (Imma gonna say that I totally meant to do that) I stamped a tiny crown in gold glitter paper, fussy cut, and
added that on top of her hat head. Stamped the sentiment, cut out and adhered all wonky.
I even did a bit of doodling in the corners before matting the panel onto black CS and popping
that up on foam squares onto the card base.

Now it's your turn! I hope that you join us at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for
our Queen challenge! Need more inspiration? Then do check out what my Sister in Snark,
and our Guest Designer, Paula, have created for your viewing pleasure!

Thanks for visiting. Have a fabulous day!
