SHOPPING OUR STASH #350 - Yo! Dude!

Hello and happy Tuesday!
Today starts the new challenge at
Yo! Dude!

We want to see projects for the special men in your life.
(or for a complete stranger. We don't judge. *wink*)

Here's the card I made:

and the inside:

My teammate Barbara was kind enough to send me some stamped
images from the Hipsters set by Tim Holtz. I thought it was high
time I used them. (again, hoarder)
The chimp dude was colored with Prismacolor pencils and Glossy Accents added to his glasses.
That background panel I had made a couple months ago, and decided to finally use it.
It's die cut, sprayed with a couple Dylusions spray inks, stenciled over
with embossing paste, then splattered with black ink.
(drying between all layers, of course)
The black panel was dry embossed with stripes before adhering
everything together all wonky like.
As for the inside sentiment, I printed that out on my computer.
(Shout out to Charlton Heston from the Planet of the Apes movie!)
As everyone in my family shares a snarky sense of humor,
this will eventually be mailed to one of my male relatives. LOL!

I look forward to seeing your male themed creations in the gallery
at Shopping Our Stash! For more ideas, do yourself a favor and
visit the blogs of my teammies. You won't be disappointed.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a great day!

A little birdie told me...

Hi there. I wanted to pop in and share a card I made
for a few challenges. This is a OLC, you know, my Kryptonite,
but I persevered.

and the inside:

I did the smooshing technique using a piece of acetate to control the
smoosh a bit better. My "watercolors" are actually three colors of Glimmer Mists.
Because of that, the background has an added bonus of shimmer!
I had taped the card down when I was smooshing, but when I removed the
top corner, it ripped a bit. Out came my corner rounder!
The only thing left to do was stamp the bird and sentiments.

Well, that's it for now. Thanks for visiting. I appreciate
the comments left and read every one!
Have a great evening!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #337 - Getting Sentimental

Hello and happy Tuesday crafty peeps!
This week at
we challenge you to make your sentiment the focal point
of your project.
Here's the card I made:

 and the finished inside:

I used another panel I created a while back using Magenta Nuance powder dyes.
I die cut the word birthday 4 times, stacked and glued. 'Happiest' and
'wishes' were stamped in VersaMark and embossed in white EP.
I matted the panel with black card stock, then added some sequins,
because, shiny!

Now it's your turn to create something using your sentiment as the main focus.
We'd love to see it, so please link up at Shopping Our Stash so we
can admire your work! Need more ideas? Simply check out the
blogs of my teammies and while there, leave some love!
Thanks for visiting!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #101 - T is for Technique

Hello hello!
The next two weeks are brought to you by the letter T-
as in T for Technique!

We want you to try a technique, any technique. Either one that you love to do,
or perhaps one that you've yet to try. Easy peasy!

For my technique, I tried using a Gelli plate for the first time.
I'm not gonna lie, it won't be the last time.
I had a blast pulling prints! I was lucky to have won a
starter kit last summer, and never got up the nerve to try it out, until now.
My plate is only 5" x 5", but for now, I'm happy to play with that. I made
12 prints so far, and made a couple cards out of them.

Here's the first one:

 and the inside:

Here's the print I used.

All the prints. This is the first print.

 the second print:

the last print. Some I like, some not so much. But I'm still learning.
(sorry for the crappy pictures. I was using my phone camera, and yes,
these are drying on my treadmill. What else do you use a treadmill for?)

I forgot to take a close up of the next print, but here's the second card I made:

I've used a variety of stencils, bubble wrap, and even the cap from a deodorant stick! HA!
Of course, there HAD to be some snark on these babies!

So, now it's your turn to play. Use a favorite technique, or try something new. Just
link up at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers so we can see what you made!
Looking for some inspiration? Simply visit the blogs of my Sisters, and this year's
first Guest Designer, Toni, to see what they came up with!
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #100 N is for Naughty Christmas

Would you look at that? It's our 100th challenge at the
How fitting that our annual Naughty Christmas challenge
is the lucky one for this historic event!

That's right, we want to see how crass, how rude, how risque'
you can get with your Christmas cards!
Let your freak flag fly!
(and the swear words too!)

Yes, mine does have swear words in it,
so if you have any little ones about and
don't want them to learn a new bad word,
you should probably send them out of the room now.

Ok, you've been warned.

Here's my card.
It seems rather innocent at first, but....

...then the inside:

This card is extremely CAS for me, and thanks to some alpha stickers and a computer
generated sentiment, it was completed pretty fast too.

So, do you need to make any last minute Christmas cards? Why not
add a rude sentiment, an F-bomb, or a naughty Santa and
link up at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers?! We'd love
to see what you come up with! For more naughty goodness, do check out
what my Sistahs and our Guest Designer, Sharon, have created
for your viewing pleasure. Heads up: don't be drinking or eating
when reading their cards. Just sayin'

Edna and my Sisters will be taking a much needed break to spend time with our
loved ones, (a.k.a. our favorite alcoholic beverages), but will be back with
all new challenges starting January 13th.

Until then, I wish you a very Merry Christmas,
and all the best for 2018!
 Hugs!

Of course, I'd like to enter this at the Naughty Or Nice challenge #46

Supplies:
CS: TE; Recollections
