HB2U

 Hello and welcome crafty friends!
I took a break from making Christmas cards
and made another birthday card,
combining a few challenges:

I started with creating my main panel using the Facets stencil
and blending a couple colors of orange ink. I die cut the
HB2U and glued onto that, then adhered that panel to my card
base with foam squares.

This card fit into a number of challenges:
Seize the Birthday #337 (Disclaimer - technically I used
alpha/number dies to create my sentiment, so if that doesn't
qualify, I'm ok with that. I still had fun making this!)

Thanks for visiting!

Supplies:
Stamps: Honey Bee Stamps - Mini Messages Sassy Birthday (inside card)
Ink: Taylored Expressions - Pumpkin, Cotton Candy; Memento - Tuxedo Black
CS: Cardstock Warehouse; Neenah; Taylored Expressions
Accessories: STAMPlorations - Facets stencil; Honey Bee Stamps - Narrow Upper Case Alphas; Hero Arts - rectangle dies; MISTI
Adhesives: Scrapbook Adhesives - tape runner & foam squares; Bearly Art glue

Sugar Plum Fairy

 Hello and welcome!
As usual, I've let the year pass by and haven't made
a lot of Christmas cards, so now
I'm going to haul butt to get a bunch made. LOL!
Here's the newest one:

I used a paper collection that came with coordinating ephemera, so
this was pretty quick to make. I matted both the background panel
and the Sugar Plum Fairy ephemera with black cardstock,
then added a gold heat embossed sentiment. I also added a dot of
gold Stickles to the flower centers on her skirt.

Here's the finished inside:

It's been forever since I've entered any challenges, so I was
happy to use the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #759.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a good day!

Supplies:
Stamps: Honey Bee Stamps - Inside Holiday Sentiments & dies
Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versamark
DP: Echo Park - Nutcracker Christmas

Accessories: Echo Park - Nutcracker Christmas ephemera; Lawn Fawn - scalloped rectangle die; Stampendous - gold EP; heat gun; Ranger - Gold Stickles; MISTI

Surprise Party Guest at Seize the Birthday #334!

 Hello and welcome!
I'm thrilled to be a Surprise Party Guest

For this challenge, we'd like to see you use
a sentiment strip(s) on your birthday projects!

Of course, if you are not a toppings kind of person,
you can just stick with Anything Goes!
Just make sure it's birthday themed.

Here's my take on the challenge:

It's true. Calories never count on your birthday!
I've combined products from a handful of companies
and created this fun card. The sentiments were stamped
in versamark ink onto black cardstock, white heat embossed,
and die cut with mini strip dies.

Now I want a cupcake!

Thank you, Jenny, for choosing my card for the Pun-y/Funny
challenge and for the opportunity to Guest Design
with the crew at Seize the Birthday!

I hope that you have a great day!

Bluebird Birthday Wishes

 Hello and welcome!
I am diving into my ever-growing pile of NBUS,
and came up with this cutie:

The bird and birdhouse stamps are from a set that was a collaboration
between Honey Bee Stamps and Paper Smooches earlier this year.
I hurried up and bought them as soon as they came out, and yes,
I'm just getting around to using them. Don't judge. 😉

The paper is from a freebie pack from Honey Bee, and the
HBD is from a Paper Smooches set. Another sentiment from
Honey Bee finishes the inside. I wanted to mix items from
both companies as much as possible for this card.
(It's how my brain is wired)

The card design is based off of Atlantic Hearts #696 and since I
cracked open a new stamp set, I'll link up at NBUS Challenge #89.

Thanks for visiting!

 Hello crafty friends and welcome!
I have a card to share that combines a few challenges:

I've used the sketch from Atlantic Hearts Challenge #688,
and also the challenge prompt of Yellow/Blue/Pink at

I used two shades of yellow for the sunflowers. Most
of the foliage is dark blue with a few in kraft.

A simple sentiment finishes the inside:

Paper Players #792

Hello and happy Sunday to you!
It's a rainy day here so I'm
getting crafty. 😁
Here's what I've made today:

I had this gorgeous bird already ink blended and put together
for at least a couple months. I was just waiting for a
great sketch to use it on. Luckily, The Paper Players #792
came up with that sketch!

Here's a close up of the bird:

You can't tell from my stellar photography skills,
but this sweet birdie has a healthy coating of
Wink of Stella pen. She shimmers so nicely!
A simple sentiment finishes the inside:

Thank you, Joanne, for the sketch!

That's it for now. The rain looks like it's almost done,
so I'll be able to go harvest some lettuce and veggies
from the garden for a salad. Yum!
Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!

Freshly Made Sketch #742

 Hello crafty friends and welcome!
It seems like it's been forever since I
played along at a challenge blog.
Here's my take on Freshly Made Sketches #742:

I've had this laser cut sheet of plants and flowers for a few
years and I figured now was a good time to make
something with it. (* hoarder *)

I die cut a cover plate for the main panel before
adhering everything on it. I wasn't sure about the
colors, but I think they all go together rather well. (IMHO)
Here is the finished inside:

This was a great sketch by Amy. Thank you!

That's it for now. Thank you for visiting,
and I hope that you all have a great weekend!

Sometimes there are no words

Hello and happy March 1st to you!
I just wanted to pop in and share
a card I made last night.

This flower is a new to me die cut that I purchased recently.
Before I had everything glued together, I thought that
the scalloped panel looked too plain. I stamped a couple
texture stamps to add some interest before I glued
it all in place.

Here is the finished inside:

Unfortunately, I've been in need of sympathy cards lately
and used the two I had on hand, so I needed to replenish.

My card is based on Freshly Made Sketches #725.

Thanks for visiting. We are off to take advantage of this
gorgeous warm weather and go hiking.
Enjoy your day!
