SHOPPING OUR STASH #454 - Back to the Books

Hello and welcome, crafty friends!
We have a fun new challenge starting at SHOPPING OUR STASH:
Back to the Books!
Anything related to books, reading, or even using a page from a book
or text design paper on your projects can be used.
I decided to make a few bookmarks, upcycling some old
library checkout cards that were gifted to me by my teammate Mimi!

I stamped flower images on opposite corners, colored them with
Prismacolor pencils, sponged some ink around the edges, and added
glitter glue to the centers of some of the flowers. My neighbor
has a laminating machine and she let me use it to laminate these cards.
Added some ribbon and twine and these babies were done!

Here are some close ups:

I also stamped and colored on the back sides:

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #193 - P is for Paper Piecing

Hello snarky peeps! It's time once again for a new challenge
This fortnight is brought to you by the letter P - for PAPER PIECING!
Apparently, some of my Sistahs thought, like me, that using stamps
from Art Impressions was the ticket. 😄
Here's what I came up with:

I figured the paper piecing might be hard to make out, so
here's the cut apart pieces I used: both pants, both shirts, and
the cardigan were all paper pieced.

After all the glue dried, I went over the paper pieced clothes with
various Spectrum Noir markers to add some shading.

I used sketch 434 from Atlantic Hearts challenge, which was
the current challenge when I made this card. (I was working ahead)
Of course, a snarky sentiment is always a great finishing touch
whenever possible! LOL!

I hope that you get a chance to play along in our Paper Piecing challenge
at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! Need more idea? Simply check out
what my Sistahs, and our reigning Queen, Rachel, have created to wow you!
Thanks for visiting. Have a wonderful day!
