STAMPlorations Perfect Pairs: Classic Christmas + plus!

Hello there! I'm back with a couple more cards using
coordinating Ephemera Cuts from STAMPlorations!

This time, I've added more to my cards to kick them up a notch. 😁
A scrap of holiday paper on one edge, repeat stamping of the
definition stamp, and one of the images from the Ephemera Cuts
still makes for a quick card.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment stamp to finish.

For my second card, I took a piece of kraft paper, glued a strip of
patterned paper on the diagonal, die cut it using one of the
Crazy Double Running Stitch rectangle dies, then die cut it
again using the Circles All Over Texture plate. I added the
Nutcracker in the Ephemera Cuts package with foam squares.
Part of the sentiment was masked off and heat embossed
 in white embossing powder.

If you make quick cards, or like to throw on all the things, the
Perfect Pairs series is entirely capable of doing both! Check
out all four sets at the STAMPlorations store.
If you are in the mood to shop, you can use my discount code
for an extra 20% off.

Thanks for visiting. Have a wonderful day!

Hello and happy New Year!
If you celebrated, I hope that your
holidays were wonderful and relaxing.

For this month, we want to see your NEW or NEVER used stuff
That could be all new crafty goodies, something you already
had but haven't broken the packaging yet, or
perhaps a technique that you've never tried before.
We want to see it!

Here's what I came up with:

I purchased this stamp set last year as well as the paper pad, and only
just now cracked open the packaging on both.
(Yep, I'm starting out the year with a two-finger salute. LOL!)

As usual, an inside sentiment to finish my card:

I hope that you find some time this month to play along in our
New or Never challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!
For more inspiration, do check out what my sisters and our first Queen
of the year, Michelle, have created to wow you!

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a great day!

Hooray It's Your Birthday!

 Hello and welcome!
It's been kind of a ghost town here lately, as I've been
busy making my annual Christmas cards. Now that I got
that done, I've switched to some much needed
birthday cards. Here's one:

I love to use collection kits that have a sticker sheet included. It takes
the guess work out of trying to match totally unrelated items together.
I wanted a really thin matte around the main panel, so I traced
around the die and fussy cut it. The panel is adhered with foam squares.

Another simple sentiment finishes the inside:

My card is based off of this fabulous sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #712.

That's it for now. Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #267 S is for Spooky

Hello snarky peeps and welcome!
Can you believe that it's October already?
A new month means a new challenge at the
No surprise here. We want to see your spooky
projects! Also, this being
Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as an option,
use the color pink on your creation.

I decided to make an art journal page:

I went all out spooky for this page,
my inspiration being the movie, The Shining.
What started it was the two girls (Tim Holtz Halloween
Paper Dolls). I coated them with Liquitex matte gel and once
dry, colored them using a water pen and Derwent
Inktense Block 0400. I used a spiderweb stencil with
crackle paste. After it dried, I painted orange and raw umber acrylic
paint over it. Random stamping, splatters, and gold Stickles were also added.
I added some themed paper and boarders, and finally alpha Thickers
to spell REDRUM.
Here are some process photos:

I hope that you'll join us this month at the
Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for our Spooky challenge!
Please do yourself a favor and check out what my
sisters created and also our reigning Queen, Wendy!

Hello and welcome, snarky friends!
It's a new month, so time for the new challenge at the
This month, we'd like to see your Valentine,
or Anti-Valentine projects!
I'm not one to celebrate it, so of course I went with
the Anti version:

The snark is subtle, but it's there! LOL!

I'm not even quite sure how that paper with the hearts came
to be living in my craft room. I'm guessing that I bought it for the back side,
which is the strip of flower paper under it. LOL!
I printed out the sentiment then added the "SS" with a pen.

I hope that you'll play along this month in our Love challenge
There's lots of inspiration from my sisters, so do check
out what they've created!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #245 - J is for Jessi

Hello and welcome friends!
Edna and my sisters are back from the Funny Farm,
I mean, an extended break, and
are gearing up for some snarky shenanigans in 2024!
(Not to mention our 10th year!)

Our last challenge of 2023 is a very special one,
as we pay tribute to our beloved sister and friend, Jessi,
who lost her heroic battle with gastroparesis on December 27, 2018.
My "Evil Double Mint Twin", she shared my intensely
sarcastic sense of humor, as well as a love of swearing! 😉
She was a fellow design team member at Drunken Stampers as
well as Shopping Our Stash.

We'd love to see your Jessi inspired projects in our gallery. If you knew
her, let us know what about your project reminded you of her. If you
didn't know her, you can visit her blog for inspiration.

I've CASED one of Jessi's cards, for my inspiration.
It took a while to whittle it down, as she had sooooo many
fantabulous cards!

I even had doilies in my stash!
Here's the finished inside:

I hope that you'll join Edna and my sisters in
celebrating our dear sister, Jessi. While we won't have a
Queen or Princesses for this special challenge, there
may be a special prize to be had!
(nudge, nudge, wink, wink, know what I mean?!)

Thanks for visiting. 💖

Forever in our hearts and in our thoughts. Love and miss you Sistah.

Here's a cute 1st birthday card

Hello crafty friends and Happy St. Patrick's Day!
May the luck of the Irish be with you always! 💚

I'm popping in with a card I made for
one of my grand nephew's 1st birthday:

Here's the inside:

I decided to shop my stash again and use some products
by Paper Smooches. (I miss their stuff!)
The main panel needed a bit of something extra, so
I sponged a darker blue ink through a star stencil
before assembling my card.

I found a #1 sticker that fit perfectly on the onesie
to complete the front of my card.

I hope that you have a wonderful day, and if you are
celebrating St. Paddy's Day, remember,
Erin Go Braugh(less!) LOL!
