Put a bird on it

Hey all! I'm just popping in with a quick post
to share a card I made for the almost over

I got out my cardinal die and went to work making this card:

This is the inside:

I love it when the patterned paper does all the work. LOL!
A couple branch dies, (which I went over with a white pen
to make it look like there was snow on them), and a simple
sentiment was all I needed to finish this card.
That's it for now. I'm off to enter this one.
Thanks for visiting. Have a wonderful day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #167 - O is for Ocean

Hello snarky peeps! It's time again for another challenge at the
This fortnight it's all about the OCEAN!
One of my favorite places, the ocean, so I was inspired
to paint an underwater scene on canvas:

Get your favorite beverage, here come the process pics:
Started by doodling a mermaid then re-drawing onto my canvas.
Everything is painted except the added metallic markers
doodled on the fish, lashes and the Stickles/Nuvo Glitter Drops:

I added dots and highlights to her body/tail using green metallic paint:

At this point, I forgot to continue to take process pictures. LOL!
I added rose gold metallic highlights to her hair, stenciled the
fish, used white paint to add the sentiment, doodled the fish with
metallic markers, added Stardust Stickles to her top and Nuvo Glitter
Drops for the air bubbles. There is two coats of DuraClear satin varnish
to seal my painting.

This came out so much better than I thought it would.
(even though the lettering is on a slight slant. Not
too shabby, considering I totally free styled it. LOL!)

One thing that I added a week or two after making this
(last month) was this tiny flower sticker to her hair.

Not so much snark on this, but perhaps a bit of sass!
I hope that you'll join us for our Ocean challenge at the
Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! I look forward to seeing
your make on this in our gallery. For more fun ideas, simply

Welcome snarky peeps!

Now, if you are not up for some swear words, or if the
kids are around, you might not want to go any further.
You've been warned.

Here's my card:

As if I wouldn't use my favorite swear word for this challenge. LOL!
This was a labor of love, as the F U words are two separate stamps.
That I stamped repeatedly. A lot. Then to glam it up, I did a bit
of Frantage heat embossing around the edges.
Shiny!

I hope that you'll play along in our vulgarity challenge at the

SHOPPING OUR STASH #426 KISS/CAS

Good morning and happy Tuesday to you!
There's a fun new challenge starting today at
which stands for "Keep It Simple Sister/Clean And Simple".
You know me, I like my layers, so this is about as CAS
as I can get:

This came together within 10 minutes, after first sitting at my desk for
at least an hour, trying to figure out what I should do. (some straightening
up in my craft room, and the guest bedroom, may have happened
whilst pondering this challenge. LOL!)
Luckily, I had colored this image last year and so that was my
jumping off point. A couple shades of pink card stock and a
simple sentiment, and this card was done.

I hope that you find some time in the next two weeks to link up
your CAS creations in the Shopping Our Stash gallery. We'd
love to see them! Need more ideas? Simply visit the blogs of my
teammies to see their amazing creations!
Thanks for visiting, I hope you have a great day!
