SHOPPING OUR STASH #244 - Cuckoo for You

Hello and good morning crafty peeps! This week at SHOPPING OUR STASH, we are going cuckoo! LOL! That is, we want to see clocks on your card or project! Here's what I came up with:

 Here's the inside:

I pulled out a stamp set I've had for 3 years, and used two of the stamps for the first time on this card: the cuckoo clock and the sentiment. Also, I created the background paper with a stamp I won 3 years ago from a Unity FWF challenge. That also saw ink for the first time. On the inside, I added another sentiment (with a bit of snark!) to finish my card.

Now it's your turn. Break out your stamps/dies/embossing folders/papers with a clock theme and have fun making something fun with them! Just link up at Shopping Our Stash so we can admire your creative genius! While there, please check out what my teammies created and leave them some bloggy love! Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #55 L is for Legend!

Sister Lee really outdid herself in creating this AMAZING graphic!! A round of applause for Sister Lee!!!

That's right. This fortnight, the SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS challenge you to create a card or project based on legends. Think fairies, unicorns, Pegasus, mermaids, etc. You get the drift. Here is the card I made:

and yes, snark on the inside!:

Who doesn't love a good dragon image?! I bought this image when Sweet Pea Stamps was going out of business. (sigh.) The artist is Rebecca Sinz, and she's an amazing illustrator!  I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers, then gave the dragon some sparkle with Crystal Stickles. See?

Oh and look, there's some blob thing on her hair. Great. Of course I didn't notice that until I was composing my post. Luckily, I scratched it off with no damage to the image. I decided to step outside my norm of using a white or kraft card base, and went with a fire-y red. Makes her flaming red hair stand out even more. hee hee. The sentiment was computer generated, and I felt had to be used! LOL!

I look forward to seeing what clever creations you come up with for our Legends challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! While there, please leave some bloggy love for the Sisters and our new Guest Designer, Sharon!! I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Thanks for visiting! I hope you have a great day!

JUST US GIRLS #335 - Color Week

Hi everyone! I'm your hostess for Color Week at JUST US GIRLS. Since Spring/Easter is just around the corner, (it's really early this year!), I thought some pastel colors were in order. I chose PASTEL PINK, YELLOW, and PURPLE. For my challenge, any light neutrals are welcome, but please only use the three colors picked for the challenge. (That means no blues, oranges, greens...you know who you are! LOL!) Here is the trio (Yep, three!) of cards I've made:

It's the same sentiment on the inside of all cards:

I started with an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of white card stock, and went about randomly stamping the bunny then the basket in the 3 challenge colors. Then I die cut 4 panels from it. (I still need to make one more card) I made card bases with card stock in the three colors. I stamped the sentiment onto scraps of the same card stock using similar colored ink, and cut them into a banner. As a last touch, I added sequins in the same challenge colors to all the cards. So simple, and I was able to crank out more than one card in a session of crafting! Yay me!

I hope you find some time to play along with our color challenge at Just Us Girls! I look forward to seeing what you make with the colors! Just a reminder, if you are picked as Chic of the Week for any of our March challenges, you'll be in the running to be our Guest Designer for the month of May! Good luck and happy crafting!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #242 - In A Galaxy Far Far Away

Hello crafty peeps and welcome to a new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH! This week, we want to see your cards or projects that go boldly! See what I did there?! LOL! (a Star Wars theme, space, aliens, UFO's, etc.) Got it? Great! Here's the card I made:

Who doesn't love a 'little green man' looking through a telescope at the Earth, from the Moon?!! The little guy, his scope and the Earth are all colored with Spectrum Noir markers, and fussy cut. I used a circle die for the moon, ran it through the pierced rectangle die to keep the piercing consistent, then used a bubble wrap EF to achieve all those 'craters' on the lunar surface. LOL! The sentiment is heat embossed in white and the stars in gold. I just love how stinkin adorable this looks!

Now it's your turn! I hope you get the chance to play along with our challenge at Shopping Our Stash! While there, why not check out the out of this world creations by my teammies, and leave them some bloggy love! Good morning snarky peeps! It's time again for a new challenge at the SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS! We are bringing back one of our favorite challenges: Steampunk! (Thus the gears) Here's my card:

And the inside:

I wasn't sure what kind of sentiment to put on the front, and I when I came across the one I used, I may have done the happy dance. I had no idea I that that stamp! (Perhaps I should really start looking at my stash more closely) *cough hoarder cough* I also used the sketch from the now ended Paper Players #284.

JUST US GIRLS #333 - Word Week

Good morning and welcome! It's Word Week at JUST US GIRLS! Maria is your hostess this week and she wants you to add flowers to your card or project! Here's my card:

 And the inside:

Basing my card over the now ended TGIF#43 sketch, (sigh), I die cut and stamped a bunch of flowers and leaves, adhering them over a die cut frame. For some added sparkle, I've added Crystal Stickles to the flowers and sequins too.

In hindsight, I should have used a darker green ink for the leaves. (Another sigh)

I hope that you get a chance to play along this week at Just Us Girls! We have a new Guest Designer joining us this month: Steph Castro! Please welcome her and leave some love on her blog, along with the design team!

Just a reminder, if you are picked as Chic of the Week for any of our March challenges, you'll be in the running to be our Guest Designer for the month of May! Good luck and happy crafting!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #241 - White Out

Hello and happy first day of March! Spring is on it's way! Woo hoo!! I can't wait! This week at SHOPPING OUR STASH we challenge you to make a card or project that does not have any WHITE PAPER on it!! That's right - no white paper allowed. It's a piece of cake. Here's my card:

 and the inside:

Yep, used my favorite sentiment stamp again, but this time I masked and stacked the words.(hard to do with a rubber stamp, thus the off kilter-ness) I also had to mask the page to extend the size so it would fit. A happy accident: when I stamped the word 'you' I had ink on the edge of the stamp and it smudged on the top left. So I doodled to make it look as if the corner of the paper had curled.

Now it's your turn. Just create a card or project that does NOT include white paper and link it up at Shopping Our Stash! We'd love to see it. While there don't forget to check out what the other ladies created and leave them some bloggy love! Thanks for visiting!
