Glee + M.J. = ♥

Yep. I admit it. I'm a total Gleek! And damn proud of it! I'm watching Glee as I type, and I gotta say, it's one of the best frickin' episodes to date!!! The Scream part with Mike and Arnie? Brilliant!!!! Love love love this show! I just knew that letter was gonna show up! Drama!!! And next week, Ricky Martin!  Can't wait!!!

I wanted to post a couple cards I made. The first is another card I sent in for possible publication, still wasn't picked. (Grrrrr!) I will still keep on keepin' on though! The yellow paper is from LYB, The purple from DCWV, the flower is from Webster's Pages, the bling from Recollections. I don't recall where the epoxy stickers are from. A friend of mine is going to be receiving this soon. Hope she likes it!

This next card I made last year for my Dad for Father's Day. Love Cosmo Cricket's Social Club collection, which is what I used to make this card. It has such a "Rat Pack" vibe to it!

That's all I got for now. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Moxie Fab World challenges....

This was a card I sent in for publication a few months ago, but wasn't picked. Oh well, I just keep trying! I'm submitting this card for the cutting and trimming challenge I traced a chipboard puzzle onto the back of my patterned paper, and using my handy dandy scissors, cut each and every one of those pieces out, then went around the edges with a marker so that you could see the cut lines better. Yes my friends, it was a labor of love! I popped one of the pieces up with a foam square, adhered the puzzle pcs to some black card stock and that to my card base. I die cut a label, wrote my sentiment (I'm so sappy!) and used foam squares on the that as well.
This card is for the die cutting challenge. I used both my Slice (the 'happy birthday letters') and also my Grand Calibur (oval label). The vertical black scalloped boarder is from Bazzill Basics (pre-cut die cut boarders). All the paper is from We R Memory Keepers, the ribbon and the bling is from my craft stash.

This third card is for the punches challenge. It's pretty self explanatory. For that tag, I punched a long border strip, and cut corners on a 45 degree angle to have the design inside the tag. It's not perfect, but who wants to be perfect anyway? How boring would that be! LOL!

I hope that you are having a great day doing whatever you are doing! I'm face-booking from time to time in order to see all the fabulous goodies being revealed at the Winter CHA show! Love all the comment to win contests! How easy is that?!! Well, it's almost 5 pm here on the east coast, and I hear my wine glass calling me! LOL! Have a great rest of your day!

I love May Arts Ribbon!

I created this layout for a May Arts challenge last month.

I was one of the lucky ones who the ribbon lady picked for the challenge: use the four ribbons she sends a project. The other entries were phenomenal and I didn't win, but I still really enjoyed the challenge! I used paper from Graphic 45's Christmas Emporium collection. I thought it went perfect with the ribbons!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Have a great evening!

Randomness.....

It's been a few days since I posted anything. I have been creating layouts and cards, but can't post them yet. I'm sending them in for possible publication. So, here are some cards I've done last year:

A Birthday card I sent to my Sister-in-law, Tina.
A Birthday card for my Sister-in-Law, Cindy.

This card I created for a Thanksgiving challenge on the Graphic 45 blog. I loved how this turned out!

That's all I've got for now. It's time to take my fur baby, Colby for a walk! Have a great day!

DCWV January Stack-a-holic Challenge

I've been making a lot of cards lately for birthdays and blog challenges, but wanted to get back to scrap booking. I created this layout for the DCWV January Stack-a-holic challenge. Here is the sketch that was provided:

and here is the layout I came up with:

Our dog Colby! Isn't he the cutest?! We adopted him from a rescue organization for Golden Retrievers. He's actually a Golden/Chow mix (that's where the spots on his tongue come from - no, he didn't eat a pen! LOL!) He's such a joy to have and, as my layout title says, totally spoiled!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope that you have a great day!

Create Blog Card Challenge: cards with rolled paper

So I had this idea in my head for a card for this challenge, and after two days (on and off) working on it, I think it came out pretty close to what I thought up! I began with a 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" pink card base, cut a square slightly smaller in white card stock, then began to try and figure out the size of my openings. I decided on 1" which worked out well (after alot of trial and error!) I made a grid on the back to help me out, cut my X's, cut my patterned paper scraps to 1-1/4" squares, and used roll tape to secure on the back of the white card stock. I then looked around frantically for something to help roll the paper, and found a wooden dowel! Worked like a charm! I added the sentiment, raised it up with some foam squares and applied to the card base.

I really like how this turned out! Hope you enjoyed the (wonky) tutorial. I'm enjoying a glass of wine while typing this so who knows how this will turn out! LOL! I hope that you had a great day today and thanks for stopping by!

Moxie Fab World's The Map to Your Heart Challenge

I've created this card for the Moxie Fab World's Map to Your Heart Challenge on their blog. I die cut the heart and treasure map from my handy-dandy Slice machine and inked the edges. (I think I may be the only paper crafter who uses the Slice. LOL! But it works for me!) I decided that the heart needed a little oomph, so i punched holes and threaded leather lace around it. I used a striped paper under the heart because it kind of reminded me of those cheesy pirate costumes with the striped pants! LOL! I printed out the sentiment on my computer, ripped the edges and distressed them with some Colorbox chalk ink.  I hope you like it; I had a blast creating it!

That's all I have for now. I hope that you enjoy your day!

Go Ravens!!!

Earlier today when I was walking Colby, I noticed someone in the hood had painted the Ravens logo on their front lawn. It' worked because we won!! Woot Woot! (it's pretty cool, although I couldn't get a good angle to take a decent picture of it)

I hope that you are enjoying the day doing whatever you please!

Testing this out...

If you know me, then you know that I'm pretty computer illiterate! LOL! I'm gonna try and insert a picture on this post. This is like playing with a new toy! LOL!

This is a card I made for my sister Laura last year to celebrate a milestone birthday. (A momentous occasion! and since I'm the baby sister, I llloooovvvveeee to rub it in!!! LOL!)

The paper is from one of my favorite paper companies: Graphic 45. It's from their On the Boardwalk collection. I can't wait to see more of their sneak peeks for the winter CHA show!

That's all for tonight. I hope everyone has a great evening!

My Very Own Blog! OMG!

Ok, so this is my first attempt at posting on my new blog. In future, I HOPE to download images of cards and scrapbook layouts that I've created. Baby steps! LOL! Wish me luck!
