SHOPPING OUR STASH #420 - Oh The Places You'll Go

Hello and welcome!
I hope that you are all doing well during these crazy times.
Dreaming of getting away? Why, we have just the thing, or,
challenge, at SHOPPING OUR STASH!
Oh The Places You'll Go is our new challenge, and we are looking
for maps, specific places, or just a basic travel theme on your projects.
Here's what I came up with:

Sadly, I don't have much in the way of travel themed items in my
stash. But, I did come across this world map paper and decided
it would serve perfectly for my card. I just trimmed it to size,
added a navy border (which was another paper from the collection),
and printed out the sentiment onto a die cut piece of white card stock.
So simple and easy!

I hope that you find some time this fortnight to link up your travel
themed projects at Shopping Our Stash! We'd love to see them!
For more ideas, please do check out what my teammates
created for your viewing pleasure, and leave them some bloggy love!
Thanks for visiting, and have a great day!

Supplies:
DP: Basic Grey - South Pacific

Birthday Fishes

Hello and good Sunday to you, crafty friends!
I have a card to share that I made, which I'm
pleased to have been able to link up to a few challenges with:

The main panel is mixed media paper that I used the paper towel transfer technique on.

I'm pretty sure this towel has Dylusions spray inks and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists
sprayed on it. Here's a close up picture that shows how the design in the paper towel
transferred to the panel:

I tried to get a close up of how the 'water' shimmers from the glimmer mist:
Pretty cool!

I die cut and colored my fish, then once the panel was completely dry, stamped
the sentiment wonky. The fish were adhered with foam squares.

This was a fun technique, and I'll be making more panels using it.
(I just have to remember to wear latex gloves otherwise my fingertips
will pick up the inks from the towel. Ask me how I know.)

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a great rest of the day!

JUST US GIRLS #383 Word Week

Happy Saturday, friends! Bobby is your hostess this week at
JUST US GIRLS! She's picked Geometric as your word. This should be
lots of fun! Here's what I created:

 and the inside:

I'm out of masculine birthday cards so here's one I made. It's pretty CAS for me. I broke out the
much neglected octagon nesties for this, cutting some 'manly' papers. The beer is a sticker, actually two. I stuck them onto white card stock, fussy cut them out, and adhered them on top of each other, the second one with foam squares. Of course, with my crack photography skillz, you can't see that at all. DOH! The sentiments were lined up and stamped multiple times with my MISTI to get a
nice dark impression.

Now it's your turn to create something with a geometric pattern to it. Be sure to link up
at Just Us Girls so we can admire it. For more inspiration, do check out what my teammies
created. Also, since it's a new month, and we have a new Guest Designer joining us. Welcome
Nancy Salkeld! I look forward to crafting with you this month!

Just a reminder, if you are chosen as Chic of the Week for any of our March challenges, you'll
be in the running to be our Guest Designer for the month of May! Good luck, and
happy crafting!
