Dotty birthday wishes

 Hello crafty friends and welcome!
I'm back with another card to share.

I love a simple design with a bold color pallet. This
card just makes me happy! 😊

Another sentiment finishes the inside.

I finally put up some Halloween decorations today.
I didn't go all out like I usually do, but it was
enough to make me feel good.
Now it's time to get some dinner started.
Thanks for visiting. Have a great rest of your day!

Tropical hello

 Hello and welcome crafty friends.
I've got a card to share:

I die cut the flamingo from a fushia panel I made with Magenta
Nuance powder dye spritzed with water. I found that snippet of
pretty yellow-green/blue paper in my stash and thought it
would make a nice contrast for my flamingo. I was thrilled to find
that pink strip of paper matched the pink of the bird. 😊

I used a few markers to color the beak for a more realistic look.
I'm really liking how this one came out!

That's it for now. Thank you very much for visiting!
I hope that you have a great rest of your day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #448 - Tropical Delights

Good morning and welcome crafty peeps!
We have a fun challenge starting at
SHOPPING OUR STASH: Tropical Delights!

Palm trees, hula dancers, tiki bars, toucans, fruity drinks with little
blue umbrellas, hibiscus, anything like that is all good!

Here's the card I made:

Here's the inside:

I've had this flamingo die for at least a year. (scored it at Tuesday Morning!)
Can you believe this is the first time using it?! (well, if you know me, then
you know I hoard supplies and rarely use them right away. LOL!)
I looked up pictures of flamingos to color the beak for a more
realistic look, and blended Abandoned Coral DI to add shading to it's
back, wing, and legs. I uncovered some tropical looking papers to
use and added a simple sentiment to finish.
This flamingo may be my favorite new(ish) die. LOL!

I hope that you find some time to play along in our Tropical Delights
challenge at Shopping Our Stash. For more ideas, do check out
the tropical delights created by my teammies!

Thanks for visiting, have a great day!

Petunia Sprite Birthday Wish

Hello and happy Thursday to you.
I've been kind of silent here in the blogiverse, but trust me,
I've been creating schtuff...ya just can't see it yet. ☺

But this one you can. Over the Christmas break I wasn't so
much creating cards, but I did spend some time coloring various images.
This adorable Petunia Sprite was one of them:

Anyone else ready for Spring? Yep, me too!
This sweetie is colored up using Prismacolor pencils. She also was winked by Stella,
but with my amazing photography skillz, you can't see that. LOL!

Welp, guess it's time to go clean something, or dust something, or something.
Thanks for visiting. Have a fantastic day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #108 - X is for Xyloid

Hello and happy Saturday!
We are starting a brand new challenge at the

X is for XYLOID!

What the hell is that?
It means "something related to wood".
So, we want to see that on your projects! Simple, eh?

Here's my card:

and the inside:

I went through my ancient stash of paper and found this weathered wood
gem, dated 2004, and never cut into...until now!
I also used a die cut woodsy wreath, and a bit of snark for the sentiment.
You could go as far as saying this entire card is made of wood,
because all the paper essentially started life as trees.
(but that excuse won't fly for our challenge, so
you'd best use something else wood related on your projects
if you want that crown! LOL!)

Ready to play along? Of course you are! Just link up your wood
related project at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers so
we can admire it! Need more inspiration? Simply visit the blogs of my
Sisters, and our newest Queen and Guest Designer, Pink Unicorn,
and while there, leave some love!
Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #294 - Luck O' the Irish

Welcome crafty friends, to
SNOWMAGGEDON 2017!
GAH!!
I was really hoping the snow was over. I mean, we've enjoyed 70 degree days
last month. Come on!

Ok, now that I've stepped down off the soap box, let's get on with why
you're really here: to see what shenanigans I came up with for the
new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH! This week, we want you to use
the color GREEN predominately in your card or project design. Please note that
you needn't make a St. Paddy's Day card. Only if you want to!
Here's what I made:

and the inside:

My card is based on the now ended Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge #89. (sigh) I bought that die last year and yep, first time trying it out. I cut it out of gold glitter paper. (Oooh! Shimmery!) Added a strip of black cardstock and some ancient green polka dot paper onto my green card base. See? Lot's of green, and no shamrock in sight. ☺

I hope you find some time this week (and you should if you live on the east coast *wink*) to join
our Green challenge at Shopping Our Stash. For more inspiration, do check out the blogs of
my teammates and our Guest Designer, Wendy, and leave some love!

Thanks for visiting!

JUST US GIRLS #339 Color Week

Good morning and welcome friends! Judy is your hostess for Color Week at JUST US GIRLS! She's picked some very soft, pretty colors for you to design with: Lavender, Peach, and Ivory. As always, please use only these three colors plus any neutrals. (black, white, kraft, brown, gray) Sneaking in any additional colors will keep you from being chosen as Chic of the Week (You know who you are! LOL!) Onto my cards. Yes, plural. I made three cards!

I made three identical cards using one die and paper piecing the bits and pieces. I searched my stash of flowers and found some that were ivory with a newsprint design on them. One of them had bright green stamen in the center, so I cut them off and glued a couple smaller peach flowers and a rhinestone in the center.

The inside is stamped the same for all cards.

I hope you get a chance to play along for Color Week at Just Us Girls! We can't wait to see what you create for this challenge! Remember, that if you are picked as Chic of the Week for any of our April challenges, you'll be in the running to be our Guest Designer for the month of June! Good luck and happy crafting!
