SHOPPING OUR STASH #294 - Luck O' the Irish

Welcome crafty friends, to
I was really hoping the snow was over. I mean, we've enjoyed 70 degree days
last month. Come on!

Ok, now that I've stepped down off the soap box, let's get on with why
you're really here: to see what shenanigans I came up with for the
new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH! This week, we want you to use
the color GREEN predominately in your card or project design. Please note that
you needn't make a St. Paddy's Day card. Only if you want to!
Here's what I made:

and the inside:

My card is based on the now ended Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge #89. (sigh) I bought that die last year and yep, first time trying it out. I cut it out of gold glitter paper. (Oooh! Shimmery!) Added a strip of black cardstock and some ancient green polka dot paper onto my green card base. See? Lot's of green, and no shamrock in sight. ☺

I hope you find some time this week (and you should if you live on the east coast *wink*) to join
our Green challenge at Shopping Our Stash. For more inspiration, do check out the blogs of
my teammates and our Guest Designer, Wendy, and leave some love!

Thanks for visiting!

  1. Awesome die cut, fabulous mostly green card.

  2. Beauty green card sistah!
    And this snow...seriously???
I almost lost poor little Mister in the back yard this morning!!

  3. note to self: never schedule a "GREEN" challenge the week before spring during the mildest winter ever, st. patrick will surely hand over to murphy of murphy's law and we will be PELTED with an entire winter's worth of snow! (GAH indeed!) meanwhile this lovely card is the ONLY green for miles... luckily it's pretty flippin' awesome... <3

  4. What a gorgeous die Chris and die cut in gold, it's even more amazing. Love this challenge Chris, I also can't grow this sweet little plants so, my only way to have them around is with the stamp set I used for my card.
And I agree with Lauren, we had about 5" of snow last night, the only green around are the Colorado Spruces around my house, I'm worried about the Daffodils and Crocus that were peeking out from the ground.
    Beautiful and elegant card.

  5. Very green card, girl! And elegant, too! Love that gold shape, you're right: not a shamrock in sight! Hope that storm misses MD!

  6. You're right, I have absolutely no desire to be out of doors right now! Your card is definitely green, and definitely great!

  7. That die cut looks super in gold and nicely backed with the luck o' the Irish green Chris.

  8. I wheely like this card. Sorry... This card makes my head spin in all the right ways. Oh dangit.. there I go again. Seriously though, I'm green with envy over your talent (but not over your snow!)

  9. Chris...I wanted to thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment about the project I did for DecoArt Media and Stampendous. You made me feel so good! I also wanted to say that I really like the card you've created. That die is really nice and the St. Paddy's feeling on this green birthday card is wonderful! The contrast between the black, gold die cut and green is really striking!

Thanks for visiting! I appreciate your comments and look forward to reading them!
