Snow days are the best days

 Welcome and happy Friday!
I thought I'd show some love to some
older products.
I dived deep into my stash and
came up with this card:

These cute snowmen are from a set called 'Chill Out' by
The Alley Way Stamps. I'm not sure how old they are
but the little digging I did on the Google showed these
are approximately from 2013. These were colored and
fussy cut. The background paper is the last snippet I had
from this collection from My Mind's Eye called Colorful Christmas.
I couldn't find much about it, it's that old. I'd say this
is at least 10 years old, probably older. 😉 The
sentiment is from a Penny Black set from 2021.

These snowmen are just too cute!

That's all for now. Thank you for visiting.
I hope you have a great rest of your day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #458 - Tic/Tac/Toe

Good morning and welcome crafty friends!
It's time for a new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH!
Yours truly is hosting and I came up with a
Tic/Tac/Toe board for you to create from:

For my card, I've used the center column:
Embossing Folders/ Stamps over 3 yrs old/ Slimline card.

I don't know if there is such a thing as a slimline sized embossing folder,
but I got around that using a standard sized one by simply adding
a bit of designer paper on top of the panel that didn't get embossed.
The packaging that the snowman and snowflakes came from is dated
2011. The sentiment packaging is dated 2013. On the inside,
that stamp set is from 2013:

I added a bit of snowy dimension to ground the snowman:

I hope that you'll play along in our Tic/Tac/Toe challenge
this fortnight at Shopping Our Stash! Just be sure to let us know
which row, column, or diagonal you used because it may not
be easily recognizable. For more amazing creations, simply

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #117 - A is for Apple

Hello and happy Saturday to you!
There's a new challenge starting today at the
A is for Apple!

You guessed it, we'd like to see something relating to apples on your
projects. I of course, went with a bushel filled with drinks
instead of apples:

aannnnndd the punch line:

So true.
(And if anyone's wondering, those are
two appletinis, the blue tropical drink has a splash of pineapple juice,
and there are two glasses of sangria sans the fruit,
apples being one of them, but I already ate them.)
Sorry, not sorry.

Now it's your turn to play along! Simply use some sort of apple on your
project and link up at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!
We'd love to see your take on the challenge. For more apple ideas,
do check out what my Sistahs came up with, along with our newest
reigning Queen and GD Lisa!
Thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful day!

Hello crafty friends!
This week at

That could be apple images, paper, pies, etc. Some of my
teammies got creative and used pineapples on their projects!
Very clever! Here's my card:

 And the inside:

I even found some paper with apples on it. Score!

Now it's your turn! Simply create something with some type of apple(s) on it
and be sure to link up at Shopping Our Stash so we can admire it!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #275 - Three Trees

Hiya friends and welcome! We've got a new challenge starting today at SHOPPING OUR STASH, one that is pretty self explanatory and can be interpreted many different ways: THREE TREES! We would like to see a minimum of three tree images on your card or project! Pretty simple, eh? Here is what I came up with:

Here is a very bad, washed out picture of the inside of my card:

Someday, I'm going to learn how to take decent pictures of my cards. The day I took this was not that day. Sigh. Anyhoo, I used an older freebie digi image from The Alley Way Stamps, I just printed it out side by side twice. I gave myself a brake and just colored the images without trying to add dimension, or shading, or highlights. (And apparently nor a shadow to ground them) But I like how it turned out. I used some gold glitter paper and a scallop punch to frame the trees, and adhered to my embossed card front. The inside was stamped in gold ink, and I edged the panel with the gold also. IRL it looks much better and brighter. ☺

I hope you get some time to join our Three Trees challenge at Shopping Our Stash! We'd love to see your take on it. For more inspiration, do check out the blogs of my teammates, and our Guest Designer, Gina!

Just a reminder: We are looking for Guest Designers! If you wish to be considered, simply add a "DT" after your name when you link up! Good luck and happy crafting!

JUST US GIRLS #267 - Color Week

Hello and good morning peeps! It's COLOR Week at JUST US GIRLS! Sharyn is our hostess this week and wow! Did she pick some fabulous colors to play with!

I just love this inspiration picture she found. Here's the card I made:

 and the inside:
(Pay no attention to the fact that I stamped it crooked)

I think I must be the only paper crafter on the planet that doesn't own any square and rectangle Nesties. I cut all my panels with a trimmer. That poloroid shape is no exception, but it's easy to make: First I cut the rectangle then on the back I traced a square shape. Using an X-Acto knife, I cut an X in the square, then took scissors to cut out the square. The red paper is really bright, so I smudged the edges and random spots with gold chalk ink. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in champagne EP. (Note to self: Make sure the chalk ink is completely dry before heat embossing over it. The EP stuck to all the gold smudged places! GAH!!) After taking what seemed like for-ev-er to clean up that mess, I added the border punched trees and the blue DP on the back of the frame. Once the snowflake panel and the poloroid were adhered, I randomly dotted some of the flakes with gold Stickles, because - shiny!

Ready to play along? Sure you are, so don't forget to link up your project at Just Us Girls! While there, check out what my teammates, and our November GD, Tajanna, have made for your viewing pleasure! Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

JUST US GIRLS #265 Word Week - Wreaths

Hello crafty peeps! Are you all on candy overload from eating all that Halloween candy last night?! LOL!

We have a fun new challenge at JUST US GIRLS! Lisa is hosting this week and she picked the word Wreaths! Love it! Here's the card I came up with:

and the inside of my card:

I made a door! LOL! First time doing that, I think. I cut my card base and panels from brick colored card stock, then did some second generation stamping with a wood grain stamp for a bit of texture. I die cut the wreath twice from two different green DP scraps. Heat embossed the sentiments with champagne EP. After assembling everything together, I added the sequins and the metal dot for the door knob and I was done! What a fun way to use up those itty bits of scraps - I might make a few more like this!

Now it's your turn. simply create something with a wreath and link it up at Just Us Girls! While there, don't forget to visit the blogs of my teammies, and our new guest designer, Tajanna, and leave them some love. We can't wait to see what you create! Remember, if you are picked as the Chic of the Week during November, you will be in the running for our Guest Designer for the month of January! Good Luck, and thanks for stopping by!

NOT a Halloween card. Wait. WHAAA????

Yep. You heard right. (Sorta been on Halloween card making kick lately.) So, today, I give you a Christmas card. (wink!)

(glittery words on the inside)

I'm playing along with 'Tis The Season #27 (sketch) and also Merry Monday #129 (neon colors).

ETA: Since I have some (I know, not a lot) pink on my card, I'm also going to enter this at Jingle Belles, where, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Lauren and Stephanie will be donating $2 each for each card that has pink in it. So, start making those pink Christmas cards and enter as many as you want!

I had fun die cutting different Nesties in neon card stock to use as ornaments, and stamping them using neon ink. (I know, it's hard to see, but if you enlarge the photo, you should hopefully be able to see the designs better.) I even used a bit of neon cord that I've had for at least a couple of years, and never used until now! Score! Of course, I had to have a black background panel to make those bright colors pop! I die cut the sentiments from silver glitter paper, because, shiny! The cord was stapled to the black panel before I adhered it to the card base. I also drew strings for the ornaments with a silver pen.

Well, as usual, I'm getting this entered under the wire. (Procrastination is my super power, ya know!) Thanks for hanging out with me, and I hope that you have a great day!

Drunken Stampers Christmas card swap, part 1

Good Morning to you all! Well, I thought it was long past due to share the cards I made for my teammies for our first Drunken Stampers card swap! I'll be posting a few per post here and there. Here is the first batch:

Here's the inside:

Yep. I made a card with Rudolph farting. LOL! I know, I'm not right in the head! My little scene was based on the inside sentiment. (Bet you won't think about that Christmas carol the same way again! HA!) This is the card I made for my evil doublemint twin, Jessi. I think I scored major points from her boys for this card! ☺ I stamped and colored the deer with SN markers. I also stamped the legs of the deer on some scrap paper, fussy cut out, and used as a mask so that I could stamp the shadow. I used the explosion stamp from the Great Chemistry set for the, ahem, gas. (Explosion indeed!) Added the alpha stickers to finish the front. The inside sentiment was printed off my computer then I stamped Merry Christmas under it. This was such a perfect card for my family, that I made two of them, and sent the other one to my brother Jim!

I'm going to enter this card for the current Paper Smooches Sparks challenge: Anything Goes.

Ok, so on to my next card. This one I made for Donna. She collects all things skulls, so of course I made a Santa skull card!

the inside of the card:

I heat embossed the skull on a white panel, framed it with some red DP, and doodled around the edges before adhering it to the card base. I've had these Santa hat stickers in my stash for at least a couple years, and this one fit the  skull perfectly! I stamped the inside and was done!

This last card I sent to Lynne. She excels at all thing crafty!

Here is the inside:

When I made this card, it was based on a sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch. I love that cute little snowman! He's colored with Spectrum Noir markers, then I added Stickles to him and his shadow for a bit of sparkle. The strip of red card stock was dry embossed before being adhered. That snowflake is a sticker that I found in my stash. Score!

Simon Says Stamp has an embossing challenge going on at their Wednesday challenge blog, so I'm entering these two cards over there.

Well, that's it for now. I'll post more cards soon. Now it's off to take my fur baby, Colby, for a walk. Thanks for sticking it out until the end! LOL! Enjoy your day!

Just a chillin'.....

So I saw this card on page 66 of the Winter 2013 Card Maker magazine, and it screamed to me to CASE it. So I did. Here it is:

Here's the inside:

Had I been on the ball, I would have taken a picture of the page to display here so you could see it. Now you all will have to go out and buy the issue! LOL! I just loved the sketch, the colors, the repeated sentiment on the banner, and the woodgrain background on the cased card! I think I will be making more using this sketch, I really like it!

That's it for now. A short and sweet post. Thanks for hanging out with me! Now go forth and get your craft on!

Believe....

Good Morning friends! I finally started making Christmas cards this week (procrastinating seems to give me better ideas! LOL!) and wanted to share one with you.

(here is the finished inside of my card:)

I was lucky enough to win this stamp set from The Alley Way Stamps and thought it was high time I used it! On my card base, I stamped three of the snowflake stamps with Versa Mark. I heat embossed the word believe then glued two wreaths above it (using two different colors of green card stock). This was adhered to the card base with foam squares after adhering the white panel to a slightly larger red panel. I colored and fussy cut the smallest cardinal stamp (isn't that cute little birdie adorable?!), and adhered it to the wreath on a thin foam square. Added some rhinestones, finished the inside and was done!

I have so many more Christmas cards to make that I'm sure I'll be locked up in my craft cave A LOT this weekend! LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by!
