SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #159 - M is for Magic

Abracadabra! It's time for a new challenge at the
This time around it's M for MAGIC!

I've combined a fairy Godmother Stella with the Magic Iris die from
Lawn Fawn for my card:

And the inside:

This die has accompanying dies to go with it, one being a scalloped circle.
But since I didn't think to purchase that, I made my own:

The trick is to take the die cut 'doughnut' part, line it up on
the scalloped circle die cut and trace around the center opening.
Then you take a regular circle die that matches the size of the
traced opening and die cut that. Easy peasy! Sort of...

I hope that you get a chance to play along in our Magic challenge
Do yourself a favor and visit the blogs of my Sisters to see what
fantastic magical creations they made.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a fabulous day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #411 Gnome Sweet Gnome

Hello and welcome!
It's time for our first challenge of the new year at
The SOS Crew is rested from their holiday break and
raring to go. For this challenge, Gnome Sweet Gnome
we want to see a gnome on your projects. It doesn't necessarily
need to be holiday themed, as there are garden gnomes too!
I used a rather newish gnome die that I got last month.
(Hey, it was last year, and also last decade, so I'm gonna
say this die is pretty old. That's my story and I'm
sticking with it. LOL!)

Here's the inside:

My card design is based off of the sketch from Inspire Create #59,
The background paper came with the kit as did the stamps.
I used some of the snowflake stamps to create the gray oval
panel behind the gnome.

Since I made a few gnomes, I was determined to make more cards:

and the inside:

This one is based from Freshly Made Sketch #416.
On the inside sentiment, I used a red marker to
color in the word Christmas.

Here's the last one:

..the inside:

I love a good pun!

This card is based from Sketch Saturday #290. Again, I colored the
word Christmas with a red marker. I adore this wee little gnome. I think
I want to try making him into a garden gnome and create some birthday
cards with him.

So now it's your turn to play along! We hope to see your gnome projects
linked up in the Shopping Our Stash gallery. For more ideas, do
check out what my teammies created for your viewing pleasure!
Thanks for visiting. Have a wonderful day!

STAMPlorations January Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge

Welcome and Happy New Year crafty peeps!
I hope that you had a wonderful time over the holidays.

New month, new year, new decade, (WOW!), and the new challenge starts at
I used both for my card:

I adore this sweet little bear from the Romantic Expressions 2 stamp set.
I cut a heart shape, stamped and colored him. Then I stamped a second image for a mask.
Once the mask was in place, I sponged over the background with Peacock Feather DI,
splattered some water over it, then dabbed off. Once that was dry I took watered down
black and white paint and splattered some more using a toothbrush.
I removed the mask after that dried. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
I colored in some of the hearts with a red marker. All the hearts have a good
coating of Wink of Stella on them for some subtle shimmer.

This bear is just too adorable!

I hope you find some time this month to play along at
We'd love to see your take on it. Plus there are prizes to
be had for some lucky players! All the details are on the main blog.

Twofer!

Hello there!
I wanted to share a couple cards I made for the
current Twofer Challenge - geometric.

I used a small circle die for my cards:

Onefer:
I die cut like a gazillion circles (nine) and
folded them to make my flower medallion. I found a cute bee brad in my stash and added it to
the center. The leaves I cut free hand.
I prepared the card base with a quatrefoil panel, stamped and heat embossed
the sentiment. Used a border punch along the edges before adhering,
then added my flower.

Here's the inside:

Twofer:
Yep, I die cut more circles to use as my banners. I cut the circles in half,
adhered the first 'string' directly the my card base, then popped the other
'string' up with foam squares. Stamped my sentiments and that was it!

and the inside:

We finally are getting a day without rain today! (YAY!) I'm going to
go enjoy it now. Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #281 - Pretty Packaging

Good morning friends and welcome! We have a fun challenge starting today at SHOPPING OUR STASH: Pretty Packaging! We'd like to see your gift, or gift card, packaging. Think altered boxes, bags, tags, anything that would hold a gift or gift card. I bought a package of white pillow boxes a couple years ago, and so that's what I used for my project:

Yep, I made two! I used strips of patterned paper and snowman stickers  I've had in my Christmas stash for years. Once I adhered the patterned paper to the pillow box, I die cut two sizes of ovals, and a scalloped frame. Stuck the sticker on the white oval, glued the scalloped frame to it, then that to the black oval. Then used a few foam squares across the back of the oval to adhere to the pillow box. Lastly, I tied on some twine. Super easy and fun to make!

I hope you find some time to play along this week at Shopping Our Stash! Also, since it's a new month, we have a new Guest Designer! Welcome Beth! (a.k.a. Myoriah!) We are thrilled to have you join us this month!
