STAMPlorations 7th Birthday Celebration (part 1)

 Hello and welcome!

This week at STAMPlorations,

we are celebrating the store's 7th birthday! All week! Yay!

And of course, what's a celebration without some prizes?!

Here's a little something I created for today:

[This post contains affiliate links. When you click on the STAMPlorations store link below and place an order, I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.]

I've used the Wonky Stitched Grid Texture plate

for my background. I had colored the entire panel using powder dyes,

but when I came back to check to see if it was dry, I had a big

mud blob on one side. Grrr! But it turned out to be a happy

accident, as I just die cut another panel, and trimmed them both

to fit on my card base. The sentiment is one of the stickers from

the Happy Happy clear sticker set.

A few black rhinestones, and this card was done!

I hope that you will help us celebrate and join in the festivities!

For all the details on how to win some amazing prizes, please

visit the STAMPlorations post here.

If you happen to place an order at the STAMPlorations store,

feel free to use my personal discount code,

for an extra 20% off! (FYI, if you use my code when

you place an order, you'll also receive this not-yet-released stencil,

Just Plaid square 10 mil stencil!

Ok, now go forth, comment and create to celebrate with us!

Thanks for visiting! Have a lovely day!

Pink poinsettias

Hello crafty peeps! This is my second post today. A Two-For!

I have another card to share with you:

and the inside:

The poinsettia/leaves stamps are NBUS items. I think I bought them

about a year ago, and this was the first time they saw ink.

I'm getting better at lining up these layered stamps. Only took me

three tries this time before getting a decent stamped flower! Yay me!

It's really hard to tell, but that (ancient) green paper has a very subtle metallic sheen to it,

and the holly leaves are all glittered up. I did add some gold Stickles to the

center of the flower for a bit more sparkle.

I'm entering this card at:

That's it for now. Thanks for visiting. I hope that you have

a wonderful day!

It's beginning to look like (PINK) Christmas

Hello crafty friends! It seems it's been ages since I was able to

make cards that didn't have to do with design team duties or

card kits for my LSS. But yesterday I was able to.

Here's one of them:

and the inside:

I've been resisting for as long as I could to switch to this so called

'new and improved' Blogger interface. I'm still muddling my way

around it so please bear with me. Currently, I'm wondering why

Blogger now automatically defaults to double spaced paragraphs, then for no

reason, it switches to single space mid paragraph.

Ugh.

(as I typed that, the first four lines were double spaced, then,

all of a sudden, single spaced)

Again. Ugh.

Anyone else getting that too? Beuller? *crickets chirping*

LOL! Oh well, anyway, I'm entering this card for a few challenges:

Thanks for visiting. I'll be back soon with another card!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #171 H is for Halloween (in pink!)

Hello and welcome snarky peeps!

It's time for our annul PINK HALLOWEEN challenge

at the SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS!

Edna and the Sisters are doing their part to help

promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month,

and also Halloween!

For this challenge, we want to see your Halloween

projects that incorporate the color pink in it.

Here's what I came up with:

 and the inside:

I started with a pink panel and blended a couple colors of Distress ink on it, then spritzed and dripped

water onto it. I splattered Dylusions black ink spray too. Once dry, I stamped the image in black ink a

few times to get it nice and dark, then again with versamark ink. I embossed it in clear EP. I added some

black soot DI around the edges, and also distressed the edges. Another sentiment finishes the inside.

I hope that you find some time to play along in our Pink Halloween challenge at the

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

For more pinkish Halloween inspiration, do check out what my Sistahs and our

[This post contains affiliate links. When you click on them and place an order, I will receive a small

The flowers are from the Bloomfully Sparkle stamp set. I heat embossed
it in gold, then used powder inks to water color the image. Once dry, I fussy
cut it and gave it a good coating of Pearl Glimmer Mist for some
major shimmer. I stamped the sentiment from the
Sketched: Simple Gift set, notched an end and also adhered on foam squares.
The inside sentiment comes from the Birthday Bash stamp set.

I hope that you find some time this month to play along

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #170 - C is for Chalkboard

Hello and welcome snarky peeps!
There's a new challenge starting at the
C is for Chalkboard!
Some of the Sisters went with the chalkboard technique, some
made their cards look like a chalkboard sign, others
were very creative in interpreting this challenge.
I did a bit of both the chalkboard technique and created
my card to look like a sign:

Barely no effort went into the making of this card. LOL!

The sign I recreated from this inspiration pic:

The sentiment is from a magnet I have on my fridge. LOL!

I hope that you find some time this fortnight to play along

in our Chalkboard challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

STAMPlorations October Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge!

Good morning and welcome crafty friends! Can you believe we've made it thru to
October?! It seemed like February thru May dragged on for a whole year, then when June showed up,
whoosh! The months started flying by!
Well, now that the summer is just about over, the
is starting up again. Yay!
Above is your inspiration for the month of October, and here is the
card I created:
[This post contains affiliate links. When you click on them and place an order, I will receive a small
commission at no extra cost to you.]

I started by creating a panel of kraft card stock and using the Mosaic Slimline Stencil
with a few Distress Inks. Over that I splattered some black ink spray.
Putting that aside to dry, I die cut the Zen Coffee Cup Layering dies, the solid in
dark brown card stock, and the detail in metallic gold. The sentiment is one from
the Literary Caffeine-ations stamp set. Once I adhered the panel to the kraft card base, I wrapped some rust floss around it,
then adhered the coffee mug and sentiment with foam squares.

I hope that you'll play along this month! We'd love to see
your take on the theme & photo prompt.
If you feel the need to shop at STAMPlorations, feel free to

SHOPPING OUR STASH #430 - On Trend: Slimline cards

Happy Tuesday and welcome!
The new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH starts
today, and we are getting all trendy, as in,
Slimline cards!

Here's my take on the slimline card:

and the inside:

I've only just started to make this size card. At the time I made this a few weeks
ago, I didn't have any slimline stencils or dies....but I do now!
I like this different size as a nice change of pace from the standard
A2 card I usually make. I used some older DP and die cut three
scalloped squares, matted them with brown card stock and adhered
to the card base. I remembered that I had this package of flowers
and selected a few to add. A simple sentiment and some
rhinestones finish my card.

I hope that you find some time to play along in our Slimline Card
challenge at Shopping Our Stash! We'd love to see your projects
in our gallery. For more ideas, simply check out what my teammies
have created to inspire you!
Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!
