Happy 4th

Hiya and hello crafty peeps! I got a couple cards made just because and here's one of them:

I used a neglected punch for the stripes and some grunged up papers to give the flag a more rustic look. I even took vintage photo DI to the blue panel to age it. After all the work I did layering the stripes, I didn't want to cover it up, so I stamped and die cut the sentiment banner out of vellum. With some strategically placed navy buttons, I adhered it with foam dots.

And now, for some patriotic music:

You're welcome for that ear worm. ☺ Have a great day!

I'd like to enter this at :

SHOPPING OUR STASH #197 Lost and Found

Hello and good morning crafty peeps! It's time for a new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH! What do we mean Lost and Found? We'd like you to use something that you've re-discovered. Perhaps you put some crafty stuff away in a 'safe place' two years ago and only just found it again. Maybe in searching for something else, you came across a stamp set you forgot you owned. Well - use it! Here's what I came up with:

 Here's the inside:

In a previous post, I was searching (for a couple hours) for some acetate that I recently purchased. While riffling through drawers and boxes, I came across an unopened package of gold pipe cleaners and re-discovered my Epiphany Crafts shape studio tool. Ok. That'll do. I can make bugs with them. The pipe cleaners were too gold, so I took my Staz On jet black ink pad and went over them to darken them up. Even though it's much darker, I like how you can still see the gold. I used the shape studio for the bodies, and after coloring some googly eyes with an orange marker, adhered them to the bodies.

I hope you get the chance to play along with the Lost and Found challenge at Shopping Our Stash. Please be sure to check out the awesome creations my teammies came up with and leave them some bloggy love! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
