Let's Shell-abrate!

 Hello and welcome!
I'm still plugging away trying to
use my new (or new to me)
stash of crafty goodies.
(Buying craft supplies and using them are two different things.)
This card combines items from
a bunch of different companies:

The stencil, sand dollar/seahorse dies, and sentiment are all new
items. I masked around the different shells to blend
different inks for different shells. Time consuming, but
I love how it looks! For the seahorse and sand dollars,
I blended the same inks onto the same cardstock, (a beige
color, because it looks like sand! LOL!) I die cut,
then left the die cut pieces in the die to blend in the darker
colors. This reminds me of looking for shells at
my favorite happy place, Topsail Island, NC.
We just came back from a little mini vacation there,
and I'm ready to go back!

Paper Players #749 has a By the Water challenge going on, so
I'm linking up there. My card is based off the current

Have a fruitful birthday!

 Hello crafty peeps and welcome!
I'm back with another card using
more 'new to me' stuff.
Last month, my snarky sister, Jules, was
in town so we met up and took a trip to
Enchanted Cottage in Lewisville, NC.
This is one of the die sets that
I purchased there:

Admittedly, I pretty much copied the picture on the
packaging, with a few tweaks and additions.
I had the background panel sitting on my desk
leftover from this card, so I decided to use it.
I love the dramatic effect of the dark blue background.
It really makes the die cuts pop!

Addicted to Stamps and More #498 has a birthday challenge,
so I'm linking up there. Also, I'm linking up at
Seize the Birthday #296. No toppings this time, just ATG.
And of course, I used new stuff so also at NBUS Challenge #77.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a great day!

Put on your party hats!

 Hello and welcome!
Do you, like me, have an ever-growing stash
of crafty supplies? I am really trying to
use them. This card uses
stamps, dies, and an embossing folder
fresh out of their packaging:

This party hat die cuts all the swirly pieces at once,
so I cut it from two shades of pink cardstock. It
comes with a solid hat die to glue all the smaller bits
onto. (Genius!), and also two different 'poof' toppings,
the bottom band, not to mention two more hat designs.
Such a versatile set!

It's hard to make out, but the white cardstock I used has
some built in glitter on it for some added sparkle.

Lots of brand new products used for the first time here, so
I'm adding this to the August NBUS Challenge #77.
My colors are based on the current Color Hues Challenge #115.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope that you have a great
rest of your day!

Supplies:
Stamps: Taylored Expressions - Big Birthday Hugs
Ink: Memento - Gray Flannel
CS: Neenah; Taylored Expressions; American Crafts

An outdoorsy themed birthday card

 Hello and happy Friday!
Here's a fun guy card I came up with:

The woodgrain embossing folder I used is a great
backdrop for the tree and deer silhouettes, I think, IMHO.
Some snippets of paper and a sentiment
is all that was needed to finish my card.

Sorry for the weird lighting in my photos.
I just bought a light box and am still
trying to figure it out. LOL!

My card uses the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #697,
and since it's a birthday card, I'm also entering this at

Paper Players #748, Seize the Birthday #310, Just Us Girls #785

 Hello and welcome!
I just realized I haven't posted here in almost a month.
July was a busy month for us, what with everyday life,
the constant battle of weeding this lovely
bermuda grass out of the flower beds and veggie garden, (and with
the intense heat wave it's been slow going), and
one of my sisters flew out to visit us for 10 days.
We even took a mini trip to the beach!
First time in two years. It was heavenly!

So now I am back in my craft room, trying to
get the mojo going again. I combined a
few challenges to make this card:

I love aqua/teal/turquoise colors so that's what I
used on my card.

Seize the Birthday #310 challenges us to use our favorite
color, and I paired that with the sketch at
The Paper Players #748. Since I used a stencil on
the card base, I'm also linking this up

That's all I got for now. Thank you so much for visiting!
I hope you have a great rest of your day!

Hello and welcome snarky friends!
It's time for this month's challenge at the

This month, since most of the country, if not
the world, has recently reached the 7th level of Hades,
we'd like to see your Summer themed projects!
Here's my take:

Once again, I saw a meme online and immediately knew
that I had to use it on my card. LOL!

After I had made my card, I thought it needed some
faux water droplets on the veggies, so I dotted them
with some Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Happy little veggies! 😊
I hope that you'll be able to play along this month
in our summer challenge at the

Seize the Birthday #308 & Atlantic Hearts #635

 Hi there and welcome!
Here's a card I created combining
a couple challenges:

I started by making a stencil by die cutting the arch from
copy paper. Then I just blended a few colors around the edges.
I die cut the vase and leaves from black cardstock and adhered
to the main panel. All that was left was to stamp
the sentiment.

Another sentiment finishes the inside:

I'm using the current sketch at Atlantic Hearts challenge #635,
and the silhouette challenge at Seize the Birthday #308.

Thanks for visiting! Enjoy your day!

Stamps: Honey Bee Stamps - Birthday Wishes
Ink: Taylored Expressions - Pineapple, Peapod, Cookie Monster; Memento - Tuxedo Black

Addicted to Stamps and More #495

 Hello and welcome friends!
I absolutely LOVE this card that
I'm about to share. It was a major
labor of love because of all
the tiny die cut pieces.
Here, check this out:

I think each flower has 7 parts and the hummingbird
has 11 parts. Even better, I started with white
die cut pieces and blended each one.

My eyesight is clearly as blurry as my pictures. LOL!
This fits the Addicted to Stamps and More #495 challenge
of die cuts and/or dies, so I'm entering this in their gallery.

Thanks for visiting. I hope that you are staying cool from this
heatwave we are experiencing!

Supplies:
Stamps: Honey Bee Stamps - Inside Birthday & dies, Mini Messages: Birthday
Ink: Altenew - Puffy Heart, Purple Wine, Rose Quartz; Taylored Expressions - Bubblegum, Lime Zest, Peapod, Jalapeno, Tropical Punch, Poblano Pepper; Memento - Angle Pink, Dandelion, Tangelo, Tuxedo Black
CS: Neenah; Taylored Expressions
Accessories: Birch Press Design - Block Print Hummingbird dies; Memory Box - Little Fuchsia Flower Trio & Branch dies; Penny Black - Elegant Rectangle die; MISTI

FMS #691 & JUGS #780

Hello and happy Sunday to you all!
I have one more card that I made last week to share.
Combining the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #691 and
the mood board from Just Us Girls #780
I came up with this:

I love the contrast of the beach scene and those gorgeous orange
flowers! I don't know what type of flowers they are in the
photo, but they reminded me of poppies, so that's
what I used. I also liked that the photo is darker in the
lower left and upper right, so after I stenciled
my waves, I blended those corners on the panel to
mimic it.

Another simple sentiment on the inside finishes my card.

I think what took the most time for this card was trying to mix
the different orange inks I have. I have some from various companies
but no full sets, so maybe I should make swatches. It could happen. LOL!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great rest of your day!

Supplies:
Stamps: Sunny Studio - Poppy Fields & dies, Inside Greetings: Birthday
