Good morning and welcome crafty peeps!
Or should I say Krafty peeps, because that
is our new challenge at
SHOPPING OUR STASH: use kraft paper on your projects!
I finally used this negative die cut that had been sitting on my
desk for a few months. I thought it would make a cool
Christmas card:
and the inside:
I matted it onto a scrap of black card stock. Some designer paper, a sentiment
sticker and a tiny red rhinestone finishes it off.
Now it's your turn! Just create something using Kraft paper and
link it up at SHOPPING OUR STASH! We'd love to see
what you come up with. Be sure to visit my teammies and
check out what they created.
Thanks for visiting!
I'd like to enter this at:

you were definitely right: this makes an AWESOME xmas card, with many many bonus points for making a multi-layered card that is still mailably FLAT! brilliant take on the SOS krafty challenge and an excellent addition to the "all bundled up" gallery at JINGLE BELLES! ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat great use of the off cut it does make a beautiful Christmas card!!
ReplyDeleteLove this! I'm all for a bit of jingling in July, Jo x
ReplyDeleteIt does make a great Christmas card! Isn't it great when those stashed bits end up being useful? I like the wee red nose you've given him too. This card has such a lovely country/rustic feel to it. Thank you for joining in with us at The Paper Players this week.
ReplyDeleteYou are soooooooooooo right!!
ReplyDeleteIt makes a most excellent Christmas card.
The black and kraft work so well together and that is a SUPER way to use the negative piece of the die cut!
I am going to have to look for one of those dies!
Super stash use of the negative die cut! Of course the shining nose is the BEST! Applause for the beautiful finished interior as well. Go, girl!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this, Chris! I have this die too, and I'm pinning this for future inspiration. Great take on the challenge. Thanks so much for sharing with us at The Paper Players!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I started feeling all 80's, you know, wanting to go to some lodge and just sit in front of the fireplace drinking wine that is far to expensive and cuddling with my hubby! See, I bet you didn't know your work would have that type of connotative impact on anyone, now did you? Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteHUGZ!
What a perfect use of negative space ... so very glad you got bundled-up with us at jingle belles
ReplyDeleteLove the way you used the black and kraft cardstock, the negative image of this gorgeous deer just pops beautifully on the kraft panel. The addition of the little red nose is just the cutest finishing touch on this very elegant card.
ReplyDeleteOh, and the inside looks amazing too.
Beautifully done.
XO
This is fabulous! Love the Kraft, and love that deer silhouette, and the Rudolph nose is the perfect touch!
