JUST US GIRLS! #283 - Word Week!

Good morning all! It's the start of a new challenge at JUST US GIRLS! Ina is your hostess for Word Week, and she picked the word Masculine for you to incorporate into your card or project. Here's what I came up with:

 and the finished inside:

I just scored this wooden stamp at Tuesday Morning the other day (at a steal of a price!) while gallivanting about town with my neighbor. I loaded it up first with Versa Mark then with Paris Dusk ink before stamping and embossing it with clear EP.

Oooh! Shiny!!

I used the largest deckled rectangle Nestie (which was just too small), but I solved that problem simply by tracing around then fussy cutting it. (The things we do for our art!) The inside sentiment is also stamped with Paris Dusk, although it looks black. (Trust me, it's blue.) I stamped a tweed pattern on the card base with Versa Mark ink, and took my heat gun to it before adhering the main panel with thin foam squares.

I hope that you get a chance to play along and enter your masculine card or project at Just Us Girls! Remember, if you are picked as Chic of the Week for any of our March challenges, you'll be in the running to be our Guest Designer for the month of May! Sweet! Thanks for stopping by. Also, please check out what my teammies and our March Guest Designer, Jen Mitchell, have created to inspire you! Have a great day!

I'd like to enter this at Color Throwdown #332

  8. Great score with that sentiment! It perfectly describes most men I know. Love the way you embossed it and paired it with that chevron background.
