Thanks a bunch!

Hello peeps! I have another card I'd like to share with you. I'm playing along with this week's Just Us Girls #258 - using water coloring. Here's what I came up with:

 the inside:

I tried my hand at water coloring using Distress Inks and a water color pen. I think it turned out pretty good. ☺ Using water color paper, I cut it to size then masked around the edges with washi tape. so that I'd end up with a slight border around it. I filled in one color at a time, letting them air dry before starting the next color. I could have used my heat gun on it, but was afraid that it would push the colors outside the lines. It looks like many colors were used, but there's actually only five inks used on this. Whoa! What? Yep. I just love how this turned out, and will be trying this technique again for sure!

That's it for now. Thanks for popping in, and I hope you have a great day! FYI, Just Us Girls is also having a DT call, so I'm throwing my hat into the ring. Wish me luck!

Chris

  8. They would be SO lucky to have you!! This is gorgeous - I can't believe you only used 5 colours! I have to try that trick of waiting for the colours to dry in between. Maybe that would solve my 'muddy' colour problem!
