Hiking through the snow

 Hello crafty friends and welcome!
Today I'd like to share a winter
themed birthday card:

As usual, this is a mixture of old and new products. The new products are
the boot dies. Also, the grass die cuts were a gift from my friend, Jules,
who was just in town, so we were able to meet and catch up.
I love it when crafty friends can actually meet face to face! 😊

Here's the inside:

There are a few challenges I'd like to enter this at. First is the current
sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. Second, Just Us Girls has a die cut challenge.
Lastly, AAA Birthday calls for a winter themed birthday card.

We are supposedly getting some snow within the next hour. It's a rare
occurrence where I live, so I'm kind of excited to see it.
(I just don't want so much of it I have to shovel! LOL!)
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #258 - N is for NBUS (Never Been Used Stuff)

Hello and Happy New Year to you!
I hope that your holidays were fun filled and that you
received some new crafty goodies to play with.

That brings us to our new challenge at the
N is for NBUS (Never Been Used Stuff)
If your new crafty goodies are brand
spanking new, or perhaps something you've had sitting
on the "new to me and needs to be used" pile,
(You know we all have that pile!),
we want to see what you make with it.

I bought this card kit from Simon Says Stamp last
month, and here is the card I made with it:

This card is deceptively easy looking. The angel and rejoice sentiment
were heat embossed in gold and die cut. I used a sun ray embossing
folder on the back panel, then used a gold Sharpie marker to edge
around it. The image and sentiment were then adhered with
foam squares.

Here's the finished inside:

I actually made about 24 cards, using all three of the angel images:

I hope that you find some time this month to play along in our NBUS challenge
Need more inspiration? Simply visit the blogs of my sisters and our
newest Queen, Fran, to see what new goodies they created with!
Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!
