SHOPPING OUR STASH #369 - Quit Buggin' Me

Hello and happy Tuesday!
Summer is still in full swing here in the Mid Atlantic, and
that means the bugs are still out. That brings us to our
new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH:
Quit Bugging Me! We want to see a bug or bugs on your projects!
I was inspired by the dragonflies that have lately been zipping around
our house. (Which I love since they eat the skeeters!)
I colored some mixed media paper with Magenta Nuance
powder dyes and a water spritzer. Once it was dry I made
a couple cards from it.
Here's my first card:

It's based on the now ended Freshly Made Sketch #351. This was
pretty fast to make. I only had to die cut the dragonfly.. The flowers
I found in my UFO (UnFinished Objects) container, and the strip of blue from
my scrap file.

I used a dragonfly cover plate and a lot more of the colorful panel on my second card:

A glittery gold embossed sentiment was all this needed.

Ready to play along? Of course you are! Simply create something with a
bug(s) on it and link up at Shopping Our Stash so we can admire it.
There are a lot more ideas to see,  made by the uber talented
SOS Crew. You should buzz by their blogs to check them out!
Thanks for visiting!

  1. Oh I love the simplicity of number one and the colourful look of the second one. Awesome job.

  2. Both are beautiful! Card #1 is a great CAS design and #2 takes me back to the psychedelic sixties!

  3. ooooooooooh! i love that this is a two-fer! and i agree with chana, it's awesome that one is super minimalist and the other is quite gloriously maximalist! ♥

  4. Love the gorgeous colours you have used here Chris. Fabulous cas card for the first one and am in awe of the beauty of the dragonfly cover plate. It's stunning. I have just recently got the butterfly so now I need to use it.

  5. Gorgeous colors here! Looks like abalone shell! Way to go on your stash-busting on the first card, and amazing use of your inky paper with the cover plate on the second! Candy for my eyes!

  6. Ohhhhhh yep yep yep love the colour combos and both are WOW
I love dragonflies!! I **may** have brought a HUGE (dead) one home from vacation and I **might** have a BIG dragonfly tattoo on my left leg...

  7. Chris, your first card is beautifully CAS, love the gorgeous colors on this dragonfly's wings.
The second card is totally different but equally beautiful, this die is amazing.
    Fab cards, my dear.

  8. Oh, wow, these are fabulous, Chris! I'm not familiar with that Nuance powder, but it is amazing! That background paper you made is gorgeous!
