Coloring for Christmas

Hi all. I'm popping in to share a card I just finished. I'm really happy with how it turned out. (It's amazing what you'll learn when watching coloring tutorials!)

 Here's the inside:

I wanted the image to be the focal point so I found an older Sunday Stamps sketch to work with. After I colored her, she needed a bit of sparkle, so I added Diamond Stickles to the holly veins and the fur trim. With my crack photography skillz, it looks like I added gold to the holly and silver to the fur trim, but trust me, it's all one color! LOL! Here's a slightly better shot:

She is so sparkly in real life! The Stamps by Aurora Wings FB page is having a holiday Sprites challenge, so I'm headed over there now to enter this card. On the last day. Because that's how I roll. *cough*

I've colored her using Spectrum Noir markers:
Skin: FS2, FS4, TN2, CR3
Leaves: LG3, LG4, JG5
Coat & berries: DR2, DR6, DR7
Fur trim/muff: IG2, IG3
Boots: BG2, BG6, BG9
Ground: IG4, IG6
Outline: TB1

Thanks for visiting! I hope you have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #48 - Naughty Christmas

Yes, the SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS brought it back: The Naughty Christmas challenge!! Woot! Woot! We had way to much fun with it last year not to! LOL! But before I show you my card, I must put out the warning label:

Now that you've had time to get the kiddies out of the room, I'll show you my card:

not so bad, but look at the inside:

Looks like Santa had one too many cookies in his travels and got stuck in the chimney. I can just hear him saying that, once he finally shoe horned himself out of it. LOL!

Now it's your turn. You know you have family and/or friends that have a rather risque' sense of humor. Time to let your freak flag fly and make a naughty Christmas card or project. Please link it up at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers because we want to see it!! While there, be sure to check out what my Sistahs and our newest Guest Designer, Louise (a.k.a. Evil Edna) have made for your viewing pleasure and leave them some bloggy love! Thanks for visiting and now go forth and get your craft on!

JUST US GIRLS #321 Photo Week

Welcome friends! I hope those of you who celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday had a wonderful time with family and friends!

And now that we've passed that holiday up, it's really time for all-Christmas-all-the-time-mode! LOL! With that in mind, it's Photo Week at JUST US GIRLS. Vicki is your hostess this week and she found this amazing picture to inspire you! Here's what I came up with:

 Here is the inside:

This is only the second time I've tried the Bokeh technique, and I think I did much better this time around (although truth be told, this was my second attempt for this card. The first panel was a crash and burn) Lots of glitter and shine going on here. Foil paper is sooooo hard to photograph so here's another shot so you can see all the glittery/shiny goodness. The two smaller ornaments were cut from a scrap of gray card stock, then I swiped them all over with a silver ink pad. One of them I traced a smaller circle on the back side then fussy cut. (That's why it looks wonky. I cannot fussy cut a curved edge to save my life! LOL!) The silver ornaments are popped up with thin foam squares and the largest one with regular foam squares, for a bit of dimension. The sentiment was embossed in silver.

See? Lots of shiny!

We hope to see what you create using this awesome photo as inspiration! Be sure to link up at Just Us Girls so we can stop by your blog! While there, do check out what the other gals, and our Guest Designer, Louise, have made and please visit their blogs!

FOR OCTOBER & NOVEMBER ONLY: If you win Chic of the Week in any of our October or November challenges, you are in the running to be chosen as one of two Guest Designers for the month of January 2016! The Team will be taking a two week break at the end of December, and therefore, will not have a Guest Designer for December.

Thanks for visiting and I hope to see your project in the gallery! Have a great day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #229 - No Stamps

Hello and welcome crafty peeps! Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, the new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH will run for two weeks. As for the challenge: we want you to make a card or project that does NOT include stamps - clear/rubber/digi included. Here's my card:

 And the inside:

Mostly card stock with some die cuts, stickers and rhinestones. Can't get any easier than that. Of course, I made it harder on myself by die cutting the wine glass 12 times! (9 out of white card stock and 3 out of red glitter paper) Then I stacked and glued them. That probably took the longest to do for this card. ☺

So, break out your stickers, your die cuts, your patterned paper, and create something that doesn't include stamps! Please link it up at Shopping Our Stash so we can be impressed! While there, do check out what my gals have created for your viewing pleasure and leave them some bloggy love!

Thanks for visiting, and for those of you in the States celebrating, have a tryptophantastic Thanksgiving!

JUST US GIRLS #320 - Color Week

Hello and good morning! Sharyn is your hostess for Color Week at JUST US GIRLS and I think she's in the 'All Christmas all the time' mode, along with most of us! LOL! She's picked Red, Green and Gold as your colors. Please only use these 3 colors plus any neutrals on your project. Here's my card:

 Here is the inside:

It's hard to tell in the above picture, but I've embossed the image in gold. I also edged both the beige and red panels in gold. Here's a better pic to show that:

That red paper has the lyrics to "Do you hear what I hear" on it. Love that! I added some sparkle with the die cut circle behind the image.

Now it's your turn! We'd love to see what you create using these colors. Just link your project up at Just Us Girls so we can see it! While there, please check out what the other ladies and our Guest Designer, Louise Hodge, have come up with and leave them some bloggy love!

All Christmas, all the time....

It's that time of year when I (and most likely many of you) are in Christmas card making mode. So, with that being said, here's another Christmas card:

 And the inside:

After months of stalking, I mean, visiting their blog, I finally purchased some STAMPlorations stamps and stencils. They came in the mail the other day, and instead of putting them away and hoarding them (like I normally do), I actually used them right away!

I stenciled onto the newsprint paper, something I've never tried before and I must say, I like how it came out. I also traced around the design with a black Pitt Artist pen. I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it in black. Both sentiments and the holly berries and leaf are from the same set. As a finishing touch, I added gold sequins.

I'd like to enter this at STAMPlorations November challenge - stamps & newsprint & the sketch

Thanks for visiting! I hope you have a fantastic day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #228 - Thanks (US Thanksgiving)

Hello and welcome! This week at SHOPPING OUR STASH we are giving thanks, whether it be for the US Thanksgiving coming up or just a thank you to a friend or family member, we want to see it! Here's the card I made:

 and the inside:

I don't seem to have a stamp that says 'give thanks' so I used alpha stamps. (That's why it looks so wonky) I do have to admit that the papers I used are from a new collection I purchased last month, but everything else I used I've had for at least a year or more. ☺

I hope you get the chance to play along at Shopping Our Stash this week. We look forward to seeing your project in the gallery! Please do check out what my teammies created to inspire you and leave them some love on their blogs. Thanks for stopping in, and I hope you have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #47 - Y is for Yodelayeehooooo!!!

Good morning snarky peeps! It's time for another fun challenge at the SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS! How about that Edna? The hills are alive with the sound of music! (Either that or she's trying to be in the next Ricola commercial! LOL!) We want to see your music themed projects this fortnight. Here's what I came up with (at the very last second):

 And here is the inside:

Yep, as is my style, the snark is on the inside. And now you won't be able to sing that particular Christmas song without thinking of this card. Buahahahaha!!! Come on, who wouldn't love a farting Rudolph card?! ☺

Now it's your turn to make a music themed project and link up at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. While there, please do check out what my Sistahs and our newest Guest Designer, Gloria (aka Creepy Glowbugg), have created for your viewing pleasure. Thanks for popping in, and I hope to see you in the gallery! Have a great day!
