For my card, I used #15 K is for Kraft challenge. Going back and looking at this card, I really didn't like it. (I know, I'm my own worst critic. Aren't you the same way?) Here's my re-make:
Here's the inside:
Well, it IS a birthday celebration, right!? I stamped the beer mug image on kraft paper and colored it using my Prismacolor pencils. Oh how I love how this came out! Even more, I used a DecoArt Snow Writer to mimic the suds. Holy crow! It looks amazing! I made this a guy card, using the diamond plate EF (smudging Frost White and Silver ink over it), a bit of "guy" themed patterned paper, and some brass brads, because, what the hell?!
Oh, and BTW, because of our 1 year anniversary, I'm going to give away some blog candy to a lucky commenter! Yeah, that's right, blog candy!!
(Disclaimer: I took the shrink wrap off the Peacock Feathers DI only after realizing I already had it in my ink arsenal. It's never been opened. Like you've never done that before!)
So, now you have a major interest in making a card or project for our Anniversary challenge and linking it up at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! (Just be sure to let us know which past challenge you used for your new creation! We're not mind readers, you know! LOL!) While there, please check out what my Sistahs, and our newest Queen of Snark - Paige, has dreamed up to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by, and may the crafty force be with you! LOL!

ReplyDeleteI need to case your card-I have serious beer drinkers in the family, and this is perfect-thank you! Great card!
ReplyDeleteAwesome masculine card! I have a DH and 2 sons who love their beer. (One son is at a beer fest as I type!) So I will be casing this card for sure! Oh, I do love my crown!
ReplyDeleteOoooh... This card is SO YOU! Grin... LOVE IT! Thanks for being my SISTAAAAH!
ReplyDeleteWhys it got to be a masculine card? I know (and may be) women that like beer. Great card. Beer drinkers will love it!
ReplyDeleteI know women drink beer, I'm one of them also. ;) I guess I was stereotyping, with the diamond plate EF. I should know better, since I used to sell the stuff!. 1000 pardons!
DeleteWell done and great blog candy. I would use it as a masculine card too.
ReplyDeleteGreat Kraft card! I know quite a few people I could send your awesome card to. After all, I'm from Wisconsin and love a good beer.! Your's is perfect, just enough foam.
ReplyDeleteThis is a perfect guy card! (Despite what Lee said.) :D Love all the details, right down to those brads.
ReplyDeletehaha, beerthday! LOVE that! What a great guy card, Chris! The embossing folder you used is so perfect for a man card... and I love that beer mug! Genius idea using the texture paint for foam!
ReplyDeleteholy wow, i can't believe it's a whole year already! happy anniversary, snarky sistas!!!!! and many more! ♥
ReplyDeleteHappy BEERth day! I love it. This is fun. I'll have to check out the alphabet there and see what my inner (and usually outer) snarker would like to do.
ReplyDeletehahahaha, I've totally done that...I have an Old Paper ink pad that I did the same thing with :) Also, BEER!
ReplyDeleteYay for awesome suds, and I'm a huge fan of puns, so "Beerthday" really does it for me! :D
ReplyDeleteJust an FYI, please don't include me in the draw for the candy - for various reasons, I gave up "real" crafting and I now play solely in the digital world, so the candy would be wasted on me :)
