SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #24 Y is for YUCK!

Welcome back from the chaos that is Christmas! I hope everyone had a wonderful time with family and friends! Just one more celebration to get thru (NYE) and then you can sit back and relax. ☺

For our next challenge at the SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS, we want you to use something in your crafty arsenal that you don't like! Have paper you can't stand? Use it! Some hideous embellishments? Use them! (Just let us know what it is!) Here's my card:

 Here's the inside:

My 'yuck' item is this card kit I won a few years ago. I found it buried at the bottom of one of my paper collection piles. (yeah, I have a few piles. I may be a paper hoarder. *cough cough *) I really don't like the colors or the homespun look of this kit. Sorry. But it was a quick card to make with all pieces included, so there ya go. ☺

Now it's your turn to create something with a 'yucky' item(s) from your stash! Be sure to link it up at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers so we can see it. Please also check out what my Sisters and our newest Guest Designer, Veerle, have created for your viewing pleasure! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great day! Happy New Year all!

Chris

  1. I actually LIKE this card, but I hear ya. It's definitely country cottage, and a niche audience.

  3. We don't hoard, we keep things for when the perfect opportunity arises. Such as a perfectly fine card out of supposedly yuck stuff!

  4. Yeah, I'd definitely say this isn't necessarily your design aesthetic, but it's cute all the same. And now you can start to use up that horde!

  5. Lindsey said it best...it's not hoarding. Cute card and I understand the yuck, it's not my style either. I'm sure there are many who would love to get this pretty card from you!

  6. Me too I like what Lindsey said. How many times I've found the perfect thing in my ancient stash! And I can see why you don't particularly care for this collection BUT the final card turned out great!

And yeah, I am with you on this paper, not my fave either - but I do LOVE the card you made with it! Long live the YUCK!

  8. I have that paper. At the time I thought the little village look was cool but I've since come to my senses. It is actually rather hideous looking.. weird muted colors too. Great card, my fellow paper hoarder!!!

  9. It's because it has yellow, which is enough for me to go yuck too

  10. This turned out really cute! I'm with you though-my tastes change and I find things I bought years ago and think "why???"

  11. The card design is great but I have to agree with you that the paper is Yuck.
