SHOPPING OUR STASH #166: ABC's

Hello and happy Tuesday to you all! Today starts a new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH! This week, we have an ABC challenge for you: Use something on your card or project that starts with the letters A, B, and C. (make sure to tell us what you used, in case it's not obvious to us! ☺)  Since it's the start of a new school year, most would probably make something with a school theme. Not me. Check it:

 Here's the inside:

Here are my A,B,C's: A - apparition, B- bat, C- cemetery. No school theme for me, thank you very much. Yep, it's getting on towards Halloween, and since it is my favorite holiday, I'm in "Halloween card making mode"! I did a bit of masking and used Distress Inks for the night sky. Before taking off the circle mask, I smeared some Frost White ink on my craft mat, dripped some Pearl Glimmer Mist into it and swirled it into the white using a paint brush. Then I just flicked that onto my background to make stars. LOVED how that turned out! The rest was just stamping, shading, fussy cutting/die cutting and adhering to complete my spooky little scene. On the inside I used some purple scrap, inked the edges with black soot, and stamped the sentiment. I think what took the most time in making this card was fussy cutting that fence. OY! But it was worth it!

 (Here's another pic, just because!)

Oh, and what helped me out a lot was knowing what kind of card I wanted to make. I knew I wanted to make a Halloween card, so I Googled "Halloween words starting with the letter A". Seriously, there were a bunch of links for this, and they all had words for the entire alphabet on them! Score! Made figuring out my A,B,C's soooo much easier! LOL!

So, now it's your turn! Ready to make an A,B,C themed card or project? Of course you are! Just be sure to link it up at Shopping Our Stash so we can admire your creative genius! Please be sure to stop by my teammies' blogs and leave them some love! I hope that you all have a great day!
