Shopping Our Stash #158: Red, White & Blue

Hello peeps! Today starts a new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH! In a few short days, America will be celebrating one of it's major holidays, Independence Day. In honor of that day, we'd like you to make a card or project using red, white and blue! (If you aren't from the States, no problem! We encourage you to use your country's flag colors!) Here's my card:

Here's the inside:

The main panel was made by applying two distress inks directly onto the inside front flap of an embossing folder, misting with water, then laying the white card stock onto the mess. :) I gently pressed down here and there to make sure I had covered the panel completely. Once dry I framed it in dark blue card stock then adhered to my card base. I stamped the sentiment on some scrap, framed it in red on a scrap of red card stock, trimmed and adhered on an angle with foam squares. I used a few star shaped rhinestones for a bit of sparkle. On the inside, another stamped sentiment, and I added a couple small flowers stamped to emulate fireworks exploding above it.

So, why not show us your country pride and make a card/project showcasing your flag's colors, then link it up at Shopping Our Stash! If you get a chance, please stop by my teammies blogs to see what fantastic creations they came up with! Thanks for stopping by, and if you celebrate it, Happy 4th of July!

  6. Oh, that background ROCKS! I love how clear it came out and yet still has the watercolour feel to it. And those 'fireworks' on the inside are just perfection!

adding pinterest script 3. Changing the Position of the Pin it! button The cool thing about this code is that you have some freedom over where the Pinterest button for Blogger will go over the image. Take a look at the code that you just copied and pasted into the HTML for the word 'center'.
