Go Boldly.../CFC98, CTS23

Hello and happy Monday! (?) I wanted to share a card I made using two challenges: CAS-ual Fridays#98 and CAS(E) this Sketch #23:

Here are the challenges:

I combined the sketch with using glitter and Stickles and came up with this beauty! LOL! I pressed alternating widths of red tape on the main panel and by peeling first the 1/4" strips, added the silver glitter. After burnishing then tapping off the extra, I repeated the process on the 1/8" strips with the gold glitter. The rocket I stamped, colored and fussy cut. I stamped the alien then the rocket again over it. colored the window, cut that out and glued to the rocket. I added Stickles to the flame for more glittery sparkle. I even tried to stamp the 3 star cluster stamp in Stickles. It's hard to see - it looks more like glitter blobs in the background. (oh well!) I stamped the outline star stamp in white a few times also. Made a little banner and used some glittery brads then stuck that on with some foam squares. Pretty fun card to make, although I have glitter everywhere!

I usually finish the inside of the card, but I'm waiting to see what I'll use this for. I'm thinking it's either going to be a graduation card or a moving-to-a-new-home card. I have three nephews and a niece graduating High School in June and my older brother just put his house up for sale. I'll have to wait a bit to see how to finish it.

That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great rest of the day!

Chris

  6. OK, you live, you learn, and now *I* know not to stamp with Stickles. They may not look like stars BUT it still had a neat effect! And loose glitter! You really went boldly :)
