2.14 - Deep Sympathy

So, we were 'blessed' with at least 14" of snow Wednesday night and into Thursday. Then it changed to rain. Then to freezing rain. Then back to snow. Then we had a few hours of zero precipitation before getting another couple of inches of snow last night. My muscles and carpal tunnel are protesting today from shoveling yesterday and again today. Oh, yeah, and we are getting another 2" to 4" inches again tonight. Is anyone else SICK of WINTER?!!!! Ugh!!

Ok, I'm done ranting. For now. ;) Onto my card. I had to make another sympathy card. I found out that my best friend's grandfather passed earlier this week, so I wanted to get a card out to them.

Here is the inside:

This is pretty self explanatory. The pink DP was first cut in a rectangle then cut on a diagonal. I used the left over piece on the inside to mimic the front. The colors were based on Color Throwdown #279

and the design based on Retro Sketches #101

Well, I have more blog posts, so hopefully I'll see you back soon! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Very nice CAS sympathy card, the colours are soft and soothing and a nice sentiment. It's always a struggle for me to make a sympathy card it's not something that I can have in my stash. Sorry to hear of your weather woes, when I told hubby, he said it could be worse.....it could be here lol.

  2. Very, very pretty. Perfect sympathy card, but always too bad when one has to be made. Wait... a sympathy card for winter disappearing would be the exception. :D

  3. That is a simply beautiful sympathy card - so hard to make. I love these colours for one! I tend to stick with grey, green, and blue. And almost always monochrome. Huh.
You gave us your weather, by the way. Thanks a lot. Harumph.
