and the inside:
I gotta say, I LOVE how this card came out! Love it I tell ya! It's all girly and pretty and blingy and sparkly! The stamp is one I purchased last year when it was released, but as usual, it didn't see ink until now. The papers are all very old. The only one I know the manufacture of is the floral one (HOTP - from 2003!!) The light blue polka dot and the dark blue with that fabulous texture I've no idea who they are from, but they are at least 6 yrs old if not older. I even broke out the Stickles and used it on her wings, feather choker (?), and her 'crown' and antennae. As if that wasn't enough sparkle, I added pieces of rhinestone/pearl swirls. (You know those big swirls that Prima makes? Well, I tend to cut pieces of them and use here and there, instead of the whole swirl. Why? I'm not sure. Why not?) Here's a close up of Ivy showing off her sparkle:
On the inside, I used more of the blue papers. I stamped Happy Birthday, then did a little masking with another sentiment so that I stamped only the word beautiful from it. And that is that! As much as I want to keep petting this card, it's going in the mail to one of my nieces for her birthday.
So, your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to make a card or project using blue as your main color. Don't forget to link it up at the Shopping Our Stash blog, and while there, be sure to check out the fabulous designs that my teammates came up with! They will knock your socks off!
Thanks for stopping by, now go forth and get your craft on! :)

ReplyDeletewell, oh my gosh, YES, how could anyone with eyeballs NOT *LOoOOoOoOVE* how this came out? stunningly lovely! plus it's very, very blue! well done!!! :)
ReplyDeletePetting, fondling ... all the same thing. It's hard to let our babies go, isn't it? But you can visit this one at your niece's house. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for using so much stash here! I could never use those bling swirls all at one time - makes for a very expensive card! I like to spread it around, ya know? :)
So pretty...love the image!
ReplyDeleteOh, Chris...this is STUNNING! I would keep petting it too (then again, apparently I have a fairy fetish of late, lol). Me too I cut apart those swirls, because holy hannah why not? Parts of them look better, that's why. Until you end up with the little bit at the end that doesn't seem to fit on anything...don't ask me how many of those I have. *koff* Your colouring is spectacular, and I love the perfect amount of glitter!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, Chris! Great coloring, wonderful image and beautiful composition! Very nicely conceived and executed!
