Shopping Our Stash #139 - Embellish Me!

Good morning peeps! It's time for another excellent challenge at Shopping Our Stash! This week we want you to make an embellishment! How cool is that?! Me? I made a flower:

Here is the inside:

I couldn't decide what colors to use...so I used them all! LOL! Using the current sketch at Cardabilities, I die cut ten 1" circles and one 1-1/2" circle from double sided DP. Folded the 1" circles into a 'V' shape, making sure the sides are all folded the same. (For my flower, I folded the left side first, then the right side) Then I adhered all the 'petals' onto the 1-1/2" circle, adding an aqua flower and a brad from my stash to finish it off. I shopped my stash for more flowers and brads, and even a doilie! The doilie was white, but I took Peacock Feathers DI and colored it with the blending tool. I also took a scrap of vellum, and scribbled over it with a SN marker. When it was dry, I die cut the leaves. Once I assembled the front, I finished the inside and was done.  I love how bright and cheery the colors in this card are. Makes me think Spring is almost here! (As I type this, I'm looking out my window at the big piles of snow still covering everything. Sigh.) Come on Spring - you can't get here soon enough!! :)

So, are you ready to make your own embellishment for your card or project? Well then, be sure to link up to Shopping Our Stash! Before you do that, please visit my teammates to see their gorgeous creations! Thanks for stopping by! Stay crafty my friends!
