I love the texture you get from using the tape as a stamp! I used four colors of Distress Inks for my card, plus a stamp I've had for over 3 years (And this is the first time it's seen ink. Yay me - I used my shtuff!)
Now it's your turn to break out that washi tape (or stamps) that you've been hoarding. We'd love to see what you've made - just link up your card or project at Shopping Our Stash! While there, please check out what my teammies came up with to inspire you, and leave them some bloggy love! Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: Unity Stamps - April 2012 KOM
Ink: Ranger DI - Barn Door, Wild Honey, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers; Memento - Tuxedo Black
CS: Paper Smooches (red); Crafter's Companion (glossy white)
Accessories: Painters tape; Fiskars - corner rounder
Adhesives: SA by 3L - tape runner
I've seen this technique, and I APPROVE! Love the look you get! Though I know me pretty well, and I'd wear more ink than makes it to the paper. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the look of your technique, I looked at faux washi tape tutorials and thought it was more work than going to the store. I now have a small collection of tapes and haven't any idea on how to use them. Love your card, you did a fabulous job. awesome.

ReplyDeleteWOW that is all kinds of awesome sistah! Love the bright colours!
ReplyDeleteGreat technique and beautifully executed! My husband asked, "what is washi tape," and I told him is was decorated masking tape. I will have to try this technique, it looks like ti would be fun on a Mixed Media Project. Great work!

What a fun technique! I'll have to try this! Since I've of course already absconded with a role of painter's tape from the husb's workshop. And such a pretty way to use this stamp -- I have it too, and have even managed to use it once or twice. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is freaking incredible! I've never seen such a thing and it's AWESOME! Love the colours and WOOT on NBUS :)
ReplyDeleteVery, very creative technique, Chris! Love this!
