SHOPPING OUR STASH #392 - Make an ATC

Hello and happy Tuesday to you all!
It's time for a new challenge at
This fortnight we are challenging you to step outside your
comfort zone and make an ATC, either a card or coin!

Here's my Artist Trading Card:

Grab your favorite beverage, this is a photo heavy post!
I started by cutting my ATC's from recycled cardboard (2-1/2" x 3-1/2")
and gave the front sides a coat of Gesso.

I cut a mop up paper towel that had Dylusions spray inks on them,
and adhered to the card with clear gesso.

After dry and the edges were trimmed, I went over the cards with crackle embossing
paste and a heart stencil. While drying, I die cut some mermaid silhouettes from black
card stock, and Winked all of them for some shimmer.

To make sure the edges didn't tear, and to add a border, I used my finger and painted
gold paint around the edges.

I printed out my sentiment on the computer, doodled around the words and cut out.
The mermaids and sentiments are adhered with foam squares, then I added some
ancient bling from my stash for more sparkle.

You can kind of see the shimmer on the mermaid below and how the gold shines.
I love the added texture from the paper towel!

Yay! You made it to the end!
I hope that you find some time to play along in our ATC challenge at
Shopping Our Stash! We look forward to seeing what you create.

Hey there snarky peeps and welcome!
Edna is dressed in splendor, sporting her unicorn onesie.
(and, yes, that IS the tail! LOL!)
So you can, I'm sure, guess that we'd like to see unicorns on your
projects for our newest challenge at the

Here's what I came up with:

here's the inside:

I once again found inspiration by Googling memes about unicorns,
and found the perfect sentiment to print out for my card.
Unbelievably, this is the only unicorn stamp I own, so
cute and snarky it was!
Her horn and hooves were Stickled, her main and tail Winked.
I also randomly Stickled and Winked the, er, gas bubbles.

How'd I do that? Like this:

Yep, that's right. I made a wafting fart template, and just stamped inside of it. LOL!
(Huh, maybe I should trademark that.... wink!)

I hope that you play along this fortnight with the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers
in our Unicorn challenge. We'd love to see what you make!

Faux Stained Glass Flower card

Hello there friends!
I tried a new to me technique called
Faux Stained Glass, and it was
very fun to do!

Here's what I created:

and the inside:

For my card, I used the Spring Flower Layering die. I cut the solid die from a
background I had previously made using powder dyes and spritzing with water.
I cut the outline die 4 times, stacking and gluing 3 of them together then to the
solid die cut. I filled all of those teeny tiny bits with Deco Art Media Liquid Glass,
and left it to dry overnight. The last outline die was heat embossed in gold embossing
powder before adhering to the rest of the stack.
I stamped a grungy image stamp multiple times on my card base
for more interest behind the flower. After stamping the sentiment,
I glued the flower to my card base.

Here's a couple close ups:

That water colored background with the Liquid Glass really does
look like stained glass!

That's all for now. You made it to the end! Thanks for
visiting and I hope you have a great evening!

Happy Beer-thday

Hi there and happy Friday crafty peeps!
It's been a few days since I've posted anything, so I'm fixing that right now. ☺
Today I'm sharing a card I made using this

Here's the sketch:

...Here's my take on it:

 and the inside:

The infamous "guy" card.
Well, you can't go wrong with a beer themed card for a guy. I did replace
the ribbon element with a couple of beer bottle cut outs, but otherwise
kept pretty close to the sketch.

Well, as it's mid 60's here right now, I think I'm going to go take
Colby for a long walk before it starts raining.
I hope you all have a fabulous day and weekend!
Thanks for visiting!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #391 - Best Friends Day

Hello and welcome crafty friends!
This fortnight at SHOPPING OUR STASH we are
celebrating our best friends!

I really shopped my stash, and uncovered this stamp set
that had never seen ink! It's got to be at least 7 years old.
(***cough hoarder cough***)
Here's my take:

She is so cute! And bonus, that sentiment came with the set. I had that bit
of butterfly paper left so I based my coloring from it, using Spectrum Noir
markers. She's fussy cut and popped up on foam squares, as is the sentiment.
It's hard to see in this photo, but the barrette, beads, belt, bow and shoes have all been
winked by Stella. A few rhinestones and done!

I hope that you find some time to play along in our Best Friends challenge
at Shopping Our Stash! We'd love to see your projects.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope that you have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #130 - O is for Ombre

Hi there and welcome snarky peeps!
It's time again for a new challenge at the
For the next two weeks, we'd like to see OMBRE
incorporated into your projects!
Here's what I came up with:

here's the inside:

The flower image was one that I colored while I was visiting with
family last month. The main panel started out as white card stock but I
sponged over it with yellow ink to create my ombre element. It looked a little
plain to me so I broke out a stencil and lightly sponged more yellow ink over it.
Much better. Of course, I had to include a bit of snark with my
sentiment! A few enamel dots balanced it out.
(With that image I chose, I bet you couldn't tell that I'm
sooooo ready for Spring and warmer weather! LOL!)

I hope you find some time to play along in our Ombre challenge at the
Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! For more ideas, please check out what my
Sisters and our newest Queen and GD, Pip Lewer, have created for
your viewing pleasure. Thanks for stopping by and I hope
you have a great day!

29 again?

Hi there crafty friends, and happy Mardi Gras to you!
Someday I hope to experience that in New Orleans.
Yep, it's a bucket list item! LOL!

Speaking of fun and festive, I've got a birthday card to share:

Here's the inside:

I love that sentiment paired with this sassy lady! LOL!
She's colored with Prismacolor pencils, fussy cut and popped up on
foam squares over the inky background. That panel was made
by spritzing a couple colors of Dylusions ink sprays. I then covered it with
a stencil and wiped away some of the ink with a baby wipe to get
that ghost image. It's a fun technique!

That's all for now. Time to walk the fur baby.
Have a great day and thanks for visiting!
