SHOPPING OUR STASH #339 - He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not: Part 2!

Hello crafty friends!
I'm popping in with part 2
of my Valentine's Day cards
for the new challenge that started today at

You can see my first card here.
Since I had the leftover pieces from die cutting,
I whipped up another card,
but, not so lovey dovey this time.
Perhaps even a bit disturbing...

and to continue the snark on the inside:

Ugh, don't you hate it when you use your MISTI to stamp, and you
STILL wind up stamping crooked?! Oh well, I'm just going to
own it and say I totally meant to do that! LOL!

I just received that chloroform stamp as part of my winnings at VLVS.
I thought it went perfectly with the stamp from So Suzy Stamps.!

I just looked back at what I posted for January, and I've only really used
snark once at the very beginning of the month.
I had to fix that!!
LOL!

I hope that you'll join us this week at Shopping Our Stash
for our Valentine's Day challenge!

Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #339 - He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

Hello and welcome back crafty peeps!
This week at
we are getting all lovey dovey!
Yep, in case you weren't sick of Valentine's Day yet,
we are jumping on the band wagon
and challenge you
to make a Valentine's Day card or project!

 Here is my card:

 Here's the inside:

Did a little die cut inlay for this.
The papers I used on the front either are shimmery or have foil accents,
thus the reason for the weird photos.
(Soooo hard to photograph those types of papers!)

Here you can see the shimmer of the bottom part and
the foil dots in the hearts.

The heart die I just bought a month ago (year end sales ROCK!), but
the stamps and papers are probably at least 8 years old.

I hope you find some time to crank out a V-Day card or project
and link up with us at Shopping Our Stash! We'd love to see
what you made! For more ideas, simply visits the blogs of
the SOS CREW and leave some love while there!
Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #102 - F is for Farm Life

Sister Lee has come up with yet another fantastic graphic!

Well hello there!
Have you herd? There's a new challenge starting today at the

F is for FARM LIFE
That's right, we want to see a farm animal or animals on your projects!

Here's my card:

 and the inside:

In searching through my oft forgotten stash of stamps,
I came across this farm set from My Cute Stamps,
a company sadly no longer in existence.
The date on the set says it's from 2008.
I've only used the sheep from this set, so I challenged
myself to use most, if not all the rest of the stamps.
The only one I wound up not using was the sun image. Not too bad.
I also broke out my neglected Slice die cutter and the hardly used Farm Life cartridge.
That's where the barn came from. I cut it twice, in red and white cardstock,
then inlayed them back together. What a bitch that was. (But first I stamped a
woodgrain stamp over it!) My sentiment is computer generated.
Once everything was adhered, it needed something more, so I die cut
a couple wee clouds and added. Much better.

Not very snarky, but it's punny, and punny is good too!
I hope that you find some time to join our Farm Life challenge
at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! We'd love to see what you
came up with. For more fabulous ideas, please do check out what my
Sistahs and our newest Guest Designer, Lisa, have made for
your viewing pleasure. (and while there, leave some bloggy love!)
Thanks for visiting! Have a great day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #338 - Birthday

Good morning friends and welcome!
This week at
we have an easy challenge for you:
BIRTHDAYS!

Here's the card I made:

The infamous One Layer Card.
My Kryptonite!
(But it wound up coming out the way I had hoped it would, so there's that.) ☺

I started by stamping then masking the fish. Then blended on a couple Distress Inks,
lightly midway up the card and slowly getting darker towards the bottom corner,
for an ombre effect.
I then covered it with a wave stencil and used a baby wipe to blot out the
ink. LOVE how that turned out!
Once that dried, I removed the masks and colored the fishes,
and stamped the sentiment.
I did leave this under a big stack of books overnight because the baby wipe
really warped the card stock.

So there you have it, a punny birthday card!
Now it's your turn to create a birthday card (you know you always
need them) and be sure to link up at Shopping Our Stash so we
can admire your card! For more ideas, do check out the
fabulous creations my teammies made!
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a great day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #337 - Getting Sentimental

Hello and happy Tuesday crafty peeps!
This week at
we challenge you to make your sentiment the focal point
of your project.
Here's the card I made:

 and the finished inside:

I used another panel I created a while back using Magenta Nuance powder dyes.
I die cut the word birthday 4 times, stacked and glued. 'Happiest' and
'wishes' were stamped in VersaMark and embossed in white EP.
I matted the panel with black card stock, then added some sequins,
because, shiny!

Now it's your turn to create something using your sentiment as the main focus.
We'd love to see it, so please link up at Shopping Our Stash so we
can admire your work! Need more ideas? Simply check out the
blogs of my teammies and while there, leave some love!
Thanks for visiting!

Bloom & Grow

Hey, I'm back with my second post today.
This time I want to share an art journal page:

Lots of items used on this: Gesso, embossing paste, acrylic paints,
stamps, powder dyes, Stickles.
Here are a few process pictures. (Yep, I
actually remembered to take some this time! LOL!)

After a layer of Gesso, I used a stencil and embossing paste. Let dry.
Used a few different colors of blue acrylic paint. Went over
with gesso to soften edges some.
Stamped some texture with Staz On Jet Black ink.

Using mixed media paper, I sprinkled powder dye and spritzed with water.
When dry, I stamped and fussy cut flowers, and die cut the leaves.

Die cut Bloom & Grow 3 times, stacked and glued. Added Stickles.
Adhered flowers and leaves with foam squares and added
Stickles onto the flowers. When the words were dry, I glued with matt medium.

One more look:

As always, my supply list is at the bottom of my post,
in case you wondered what all I used. ☺

It sounds as if I cranked this out within a couple hours, but this is me we
are talking about, folks. I played a bit on this for a few days before
I finally finished it yesterday. LOL!

That's all for now. I thank you for popping in!
Cheers!

We Could Be Heroes

Hello and happy Sunday!
I want to share a tiny canvas that I made.
Tiny as in 4" x 4".
It's so cool!
Check it:

I've been wanting to use these stamps for a while, but wasn't sure what to
make with them until I saw this month's
challenge at Viva Las Vegas Stamps.

I broke out some green paint and some funky stencils and had a ball!
After prepping the canvas with a coat of Gesso and drying, the lighter green paint was
painted on. I stamped the sentiment onto tissue paper and adhered it with matt medium. Then that funky circle stencil was used with the darker green paint. Once that
dried I doodled around all the circles with a F-C PITT pen. I used my finger
to smudge Staz On Jet Black ink around the edges, then adhered the David Bowie image
again with matt medium.
Lastly, I used a stencil to add the hash marks with embossing paste.

And yes, all the sides are painted and stenciled also!

As I'm typing this, it just occurred to me that it was two years ago on
January 10th that we lost this amazing artist,
so I'm just going to leave this here:

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a great day!
