Jumbo Zinnia? Yes please.

Hey there and welcome!
Happy Mother's Day to all who are celebrating,
whether you have human babies or fur babies!
This crazy time has really been messing with my
creative mojo, but I did find the spark again, a bit, to
make this card yesterday:

here's the inside:

With my crack photography skillz, both the stamped background and flower do not
match the same shade of dark purple that the sentiment banner is in this
picture, but I assure you they match rather well in real life.
The flower was stamped twice, colored (well just a coating of the light purple
where it would be covered up with the next layer), fussy cut and layered together.
I've added a bit of Diamond Stickles to the centers of the stamens. Both layers
are popped up with foam squares onto the card base, then a simple sentiment
and some sequins finish the front.

That's all for now. Got to get going and get some dinner on. Sadly,
Mother's Day isn't a 'thing' in my household. Sigh. I DO have
a fur baby. That should count, I believe. Oh well. LOL!
Have a great day, whatever you do!

Fun with paper doilies

Hello crafty peeps!
It's apparently a two post day today.

I created this card for my soon to be niece-in-law for
her bridal shower earlier this month.

and the inside:

I found some tutorials on Youtube in regards to folding paper doilies to make
a wedding dress. This was my second attempt, and I'm pretty happy with it.
I started by lightly sponging a pale blue ink through a stencil for the main
panel. Both the sentiment on front and back are computer generated.
Once I adhered the dress onto the front of the card, I added rhinestones
for some pretty bling!

Thanks for visiting again! I should probably get off the computer and
do some housework. It may happen. LOL!

Aloha!

Hello and happy Fri-Yay!

I hope you all enjoyed your Independence Day to those who were
celebrating yesterday. We had storms roll through, but they held off
just long enough for our community to enjoy the fireworks display.

While it rained earlier, I decided to have some fun in the craft room,
and created a card:

This came together rather quickly for me. A rarity! LOL!
I used snippets from a paper collection, triple cut and stacked the aloha
sentiment, and even found a hibiscus image that I colored up last year!
The letters received a generous dose of my Wink of Stella pen.
 (Ooohh! Shimmery!)

That's it for now. I'm off to enjoy the day.
Thanks for visiting!

Beautiful Birthday Butterfly

Hello friends and happy Friday!
I'm just popping in with a card I made with some NBUS.
Mainly, the cover plate:

here's the inside:

I adhered some Stick It onto the back side of the black card stock before die cutting it.
(So glad I finally remembered to do that step first. LOL!)
After adhering that to my card base, I stamped and heat embossed the
sentiment in copper. To help make the butterfly stand out, I used a mostly dry
water brush and some copper ink that I smooshed onto my craft mat
and carefully went over the outline. Another sentiment stamped in
the same copper ink finishes the inside.

That's all for now. I'm still in a crafting mood so I may try
this again but with different inks. LOL!
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a great day!
