Drunken Stampers challenge #148: A Workplace

Hello and Good Morning! It's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge with the Drunken Stampers! This week we focus on a place, from our person/place/thing challenges: A Workplace!

We want to see how clever you are in creating your fabulous designs! Soooo many possibilities! My team, the Tropical Hooters, is up this week to dazzle you! Here is what I came up with:

...and the inside:

See what I did there? I put my snarky, sarcastic remark on the FRONT of the card, instead of the inside! Can you just picture a secretary saying this when fielding phone calls for her boss? LOL! I used paper, a sticker and miscellany from October Afternoon's 9 to 5 collection. Love that useless info sticker! I stuck it on some scrap kraft paper, trimmed to size, then adhered. After adhering the secretary die cut with foam squares, I hand wrote the sentiment in. (Of course, they are now called administrative professionals. I Googled it to be sure! ☺) Let me tell ya, I was relieved to find a tiny alpha sticker sheet in my stash that had enough letters to finish all the words! LOL! How did I get them relatively even? I'll tell ya: I started with the word 'day' and worked my way up. I used a ruler and stuck the letters on the edge of it. Then after eyeballing how they were lined up, I pressed the tops of them onto the card while carefully peeling the ruler away. Just went over them again with my fingers to make sure they stuck well to the card.

I hope you get to play along with the Workplace challenge at Drunken Stampers this week! Don't forget to check out what my teammates came up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

Chris

  13. Fantabulous card! I've often wanted to take a message for myself, or just say, SEND ME A TEXT. Thie lady on the card is so cute, she could probably tell anyone to shove it and get away with it. Do you think she keeps a flask in her desk? Oh, yes, love how you made the second card for the inside of this card. ;)

  14. LOVE that the snark on on the outside of the card! And you lined up everything perfectly on the INSIDE of the very same card- thanks for telling us how you did it- was this before or after a cocktail?! I have had people say that on the phone,,, annoying in life but totally funny on a card!!!!

  18. LOL is right, Chris! What a fabulous card!! As a secr, er, administrative professional for 45 years, I totally love it! I have a joke message slip that has a lot of that naughty f-word that cracks me up every time. I'm surprised I never actually said any of them ~ there were times when I came close!! I hope to get a chance to play this time! Hugs, Darnell
