I may not be there yet...

Hello friends and happy Fri-YAY!!

I'm sharing another art journal page from my
One Badass Art Journal 2018.
This is for week #4 taught by
(we are on week 10 and I'm way behind. As usual.)

Yes, that's me at two years old.
It's supposed to be an image transfer. My first attempt
actually worked, but it's so transparent, that you can barely see it,
so plan B: an image, but no transfer.
Here are some process pictures.

First few layers.

This was my original image, me at age 4

look closely, and you may be able to see my face in this pic.
See? Too transparent.

I added a few stencils and more paint, doodles, and
decided I really didn't like it at all.

So I went over most of it with gesso.

brayered more paint on

add more doodling, paint, washi tape and stencils

I love this sentiment, but I suck at hand lettering

one more look-see:

I think I started this at least 3 weeks ago, but got so frustrated with it that I just set it aside for a couple weeks. Finally finished it, and I'm so happy how it came out!

It's another gorgeous day today. We are supposed to get near 80 degrees!
Holy Cow! Grilling for sure today.
I hope that you all have a fabulous weekend.
Thanks for visiting!
