Hello crafty friends!
I'm popping in with a card I made for
yet another new-to-me challenge,
The premise is to create something
based on the given book's cover, title, or story.
This challenge is based on the book,
Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden.
I own a copy of this book, and if you haven't had a chance
to read it, you really should. It's a wonderful read.
The cover of my book is a bit different, so I based my
card more on it's cover than the version above.
Here's my card:
I hoard these papers by Graphic 45. They are from the Bird Song collection.
I cut one of the Geisha images from a collage sheet. There were three butterflies
that overlapped the different images on that paper, so I just fussy cut some flowers to cover them.
That's it for now.
I was able to work in the flower beds this morning to get them ready for new mulch.
It's FINALLY in the 70's here today!!
WOO HOO!!
Now, I'm going to go and enjoy this glorious day with my fur baby.

ReplyDeleteThis card is beautiful! A soft tapestry effect. I confess, I think that was the cover on the copy I read too - I just chose the red and black one for the challenge to widen out the possibilities! Thanks for joining The Library.
