You're how old?

 Hello crafty peeps!
I've had some playtime in the craft room and
was able to make the all illusive guy card:

and the inside:

I saw this stencil tutorial by Craftyfield and wanted to try it out.
I followed her example by blending ink for the first layer, then
using turquoise tinted gesso for the top layer.
This was my second attempt. The first attempt I tried pouncing the paint
through the stencil using a sponge and when I removed the stencil,
the paper ripped in spots:

I'm guessing that I took too long to remove the stencil, the paint dried and stuck.
You also get to see the actual turquoise color here, as the
white gesso I used lightened up the color when I mixed it.
I used an image and sentiment from a new stamp set I recently
purchased, stamped in brown ink. I added just a touch of
turquoise marker on the image.
I really love how this turned out, and I encourage you to try
the stencil technique I tried. It has a really cool effect!
Thanks for visiting. Have a wonderful day!
