SHOPPING OUR STASH #191 - Not So Heavy Metal

Welcome to another fun challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH! What does that subtitle mean? Well, we'd like you to use your oldest metal embellishments! (brads, eyelets, photo corners, ribbon bands, etc.) I've acquired many brads since starting out paper crafting back in 2007, and have rarely used them. That being said, here's the card I came up with using brads:

 Here's the inside:

A rainbow made of brads? Get out! I'm even amazed by it - mostly because it came out better than what I envisioned! LOL! My camera didn't want to show that some of the tiny brads are glittery. I stamped the pot, and then I stamped it again to get a better ink coverage. (AND I didn't even have one of those stamp-liner-upper-tools, totally free handed it - and it worked!) I went over the pot with Glossy Accents because - shiny!

I have a friend who's birthday falls on St. Paddy's Day, thus a birthday/St. Paddy's Day card. I had a ball making this, and in the process used a bunch of hoarded brads! Yay me!

I hope you get a chance to play along this week at Shopping Our Stash. Please be sure to check out what my amazingly talented teammates created for your viewing pleasure. Have a great day!

  1. I LOVE all the brads! I might have the same collection. How heavy is that thing?

And yay for lining up the stamp! I can never get that right.

    1. It weighs about 3 pounds.... (joking - it really isn't too heavy at all, considering there's a gazillion brads on it)
