I needed to make a masculine birthday card for one of my nephews and really wanted to use this sketch for it. Those are real feathers that I found over the winter. I knew that they would look cool on a card, and finally got to use them! A wood grain embossed background, some corrugated card board, a simple sentiment and I was done!

ReplyDeleteJessi, they are blue jay feathers. I double checked with my Father-in-Law who is a 'birder' to confirm. Also just found out that collecting any part of any bird, dead or alive, is against the law in the USA. OH CRAP!
