Drunken Stampers #115 - Miss Congeniality

Good Morning and happy Saturday! It's time to play along with the Drunken Stampers! Today is challenge #115: Miss Congeniality (Princesses/pageants). This term is all about movies. You can either make a card based on the movie 'Miss Congeniality', or the princesses/pageant theme, or BOTH! My team, the Midnight Margaritas, is up this week:

For my card, I went with the Princess theme:

Here is the inside of my card:

I llluuurrrvvv me a great punch line! LOL! What could be better than a sweet, innocent little girl, holding a crown in her hand, thinking about being a princess...then out comes a swear word! (My apologies, I just couldn't resist! Hey, this IS the Drunken Stampers!)

I got on the band wagon and tried the chalkboard technique on my main panel. After embossing the image in white, I took a cotton ball and rubbed white chalk ink over the panel. Added lines with a white Prismacolor pencil, and finished with some red rhinestones. The original image has her holding a heart, but I die cut a crown from some gold glitter card stock and also black card stock to outline it. I adhered the crown to cover the heart, then added more rhinestones to it. I used my computer to type and print out my sentiment. I cut the words up, inked the edges, and adhered with foam squares.

I hope you can join the fun and play along with the Drunken Stampers #115 Miss Congeniality challenge! Don't forget to check out what my teammates dreamed up! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

 Chris
