So I had this idea in my head for a card for this challenge, and after two days (on and off) working on it, I think it came out pretty close to what I thought up! I began with a 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" pink card base, cut a square slightly smaller in white card stock, then began to try and figure out the size of my openings. I decided on 1" which worked out well (after alot of trial and error!) I made a grid on the back to help me out, cut my X's, cut my patterned paper scraps to 1-1/4" squares, and used roll tape to secure on the back of the white card stock. I then looked around frantically for something to help roll the paper, and found a wooden dowel! Worked like a charm! I added the sentiment, raised it up with some foam squares and applied to the card base.
I really like how this turned out! Hope you enjoyed the (wonky) tutorial. I'm enjoying a glass of wine while typing this so who knows how this will turn out! LOL! I hope that you had a great day today and thanks for stopping by!

Amazing idea and it's super cute~~~
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool!!
ReplyDeleteIt's is beautiful. Is it hard to put in an envelope?
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! @ Andi: I can't put this in an envelope, I need to find a box to put this in! LOL! This card is so outside my comfort zone, as all the cards I usually make need to be able to send in the mail. This was more of an "artsy-fartsy" idea I had! Perhaps I'll decorate a craft box to put this in!
