SHOPPING OUR STASH #436 - What's New With You?

 

Happy New Year!

That's right, it's a brand new year and

so it's time for the first challenge at

SHOPPING OUR STASH!

For our first challenge, we want to see what you make using

your new craft goodies. For real! 

Break out your new stash that you either got as a gift, or perhaps

something you bought last year and still haven't used it yet.

Of course, mixing in some older items with the new would be awesome!

Here's what I came up with:

I actually didn't get any crafty goodies for Christmas, but I did perhaps

 

purchase some things over this past year, many of which I've never

 

used before. Like this cute doggie stamp and die set, for example.

I tried my hand at embossing the die instead of cutting it out. That's a fun

technique I'll be trying more of in future.

It's time for STAMPlorations Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge!

 

 Hello and Happy New Year!!

Finally!

Here's hoping that 2021 will bring better days.

Well, it's a new year, and a new month, and that means it's time for

the January STAMPlorations Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge!

 Use the theme, or the photo, or both. Your choice. I used both

for my card:

Here's the inside:

I started with the background panel, using the Confetti #1 slimline stencil

and pulled colors from the photo, and look at that, the confetti

in the photo goes perfectly with that stencil!

Using images from the Sweet Cravings stamp set, 

I stamped, colored and fussy cut a few of them.

I stamped some of the sentiments onto purple card stock, fussy cut,

and adhered all with foam squares. The inside sentiment is a sticker

from the Birthday Word Art clear sticker pack.

 Hello there, I'm back with another post.

A two-for today!

 

 

and the inside:

 

 

My card is a sort of case of Jennifer Brum's gorgeous card.

 

It reminded me that I have this treeline die, so I set about making

 

my card using soft gray and white card stock. I also used one of

 

my favorite embossing folders for the snowy background. To make

 

them show up a bit more, I brayered white ink over the design.

 

Before adhering the treeline, I gave it a good coating of Nuvo

 

white blizzard Glitter drops. And since I can't leave well enough

 

alone, I also randomly dotted some of the snowflakes with it too!

 

Even the white panel in the background is cut from glitter

 

card stock, but it's hard to see.

 ...and neither do I.

Hello there crafty peeps! I've had some time to finally 

sit and play in my craft room. I got all

the gifts bought, wrapped and sent out to my

family. The Christmas cards addressed and sent.

(no telling when any of that will actually arrive).

Did some Christmas cookie baking....and eating.

I'm afraid to get on the scale. LOL!

Anyway, here's a card I put together the other day,

but just getting around to posting about it:

Here's the inside:

This is Bernie. As I've said, he doesn't look

overly fond of the cold weather. LOL!

I've used a bunch of different shades of blue and green,

die cut and stacked the sentiment, then added

Nuvo glitter drops over that and the pom poms on his hat.

 

 

 Here in the mid-Atlantic, we just squeaked by in only getting a couple inches

of snow from Winter Storm Gail. (although it turned to

 

sleet then refroze. Ugh)  How'd you all make out?

December Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge reminder

 

Hello crafty friends and welcome!

Just popping in with a reminder about this month's

STAMPlorations Theme & Photo Prompt challenge!

I drew colors from the photo and added touches of

shimmer to my shaker card:

Here's the inside:

I started by stamping the cross image from the Art Marks 2

stamp set around the edges of my card base in metallic gold ink.

After trimming and adhering the green paper with matte to the base,

I die cut the tree using the Christmas Icons - Christmas tree #2 die.

I stamped one of the star images from the Christmas Baubles stamp set 

above it. I decided the panel needed a bit something more, so I 

stamped around the edges using the circle stamp from the Art Marks 2 stamp set.

The shaker part was assembled using some Color Confetti Shaker Blends. 

(I did take some extra time to just pick out colors that matched

my card.!)

Both sentiments on the front and inside are from the

Christmas Baubles stamp set.

 Hello snarky peeps and welcome!

It's the most wonderful time of the year at the

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS!

That's right, it's the L is for Lewd Christmas challenge! 

Here's my take on it:

 

 

 and the inside:

 Once again, I've used a meme for my sentiment.

This awesome retro Santa was fussy cut from a 6" x 6"

collection pack and was popped up on foam squares

onto another paper design from the same set. I just

die cut a rolling hill to ground him, and used my

 

computer and printer for the sentiment.

 

Easy peasy!

 

An actual stamp sentiment that's meant to be

 

cute takes on a slightly bawdy look paired with the front of the card.

SHOPPING OUR STASH #435 - What's Black, White & Red all over

 

Hello and welcome back crafty peeps!

It's time for the latest challenge at

SHOPPING OUR STASH!

As the title suggests, we are looking for your projects that are

Red, Black, and White!

Here's what I came up with:

and the inside:

 This was easy to make, using a pretty snowflake die cut

backed with red glitter paper and matted in black card stock.

 The sentiment was stamped in red ink then

heat embossed using clear EP.

Ooh! Sparkly!!

It's the December Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge at STAMPlorations!

 

 

Happy first day of December! (Hopefully it will woosh by

so that 2021 can bring a much better year for us all!)

But, since we are not quite there yet, at least we have the 

new Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge at STAMPlorations!

Use the theme, or the photo, or go all out and combine both.

For my project, I've used mostly just the theme, but I did

incorporate some stars into my ornaments. 😀

I've used the CRAFTplorations Christmas Bauble #1

 and painted not one, but six dotted mandala ornaments!

On the back side, I've stamped a sentiment and star image from

the Christmas Baubles stamp set.

I used shimmery metallic paints to color fill all the stars.

Here are some close up pictures:

It's really hard to see, but I've also used the metallic paints on 

the mandalas too. Shimmer!
