STAMPlorations Found Fragments mixed media canvas

 Hello crafty friends and welcome!

I'm back to share a mixed media canvas I made
using the new Found Fragments #2 stamp along with
other products from STAMPlorations!

I started by painting three colors of paint on my canvas,
deliberately making streaks of color.

Once dried, I used the Dragonfly Waltz stencil with the dark
pink paint I used for the background. I had too much paint on the
brush and the bottom left got too goopy. But it's ok, as I
covered that up later. The next step was stamping the
Found Fragments #2 stamp in Iris Staz On ink
around the edges. I put the dragonfly stencil back and went over
where I first stenciled with a white gel pen. After that, I
mixed up some embossing paste with white acrylic paint
(to make it more opaque and less transparent) and used that

While that air dried, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment
from the Simple Expressions: Glow stamp set onto vellum
and fussy cut around it. At this point I sealed the canvas with
matte gel, also using it to 'glue' the sentiment in the bottom corner.
As that dried, I fussy cut a couple images from the
Floral Parade Ephemera Cut-Outs. After everything was
dried, I adhered the flowers with foam squares.

I'm so happy with how this turned out!
These Found Fragments stamps are so versatile
to work with and I love all the images!

Introducing Found Fragments stamps by STAMPlorations!

 Hello and welcome!
I have a couple projects to share with you
using the new Found Fragments stamps

This first card uses both Found Fragments #1 and #3:

After die cutting the main panel, I randomly water colored it using
four colors of Derwent Inktense Blocks. Once dry, I stamped the
butterfly from the Trendy Butterflies 2 stamp set. I stamped another
image onto masking paper, fussy cut, and covered the first
butterfly with it. I stamped over that with
Found Fragments #1 & #3, along with additional stamps from
the Art Marks 2 and Mixed Media Elements (retired) stamp sets.

I mixed some blue acrylic paint with water and splattered the panel
before removing the mask. I triple cut the Happy Birthday die, two from
teal and one from black cardstock, offset stacked and glued to the card.

This was a fun, messy card to make but I also wanted to
try making a grungy CAS card. (I didn't know if that
was a thing, but I found this card (thanks for the inspiration!),
and came up with this:

I started by stamping Found Fragments #3 then fussy cut
a snippet of paper from Lavender Pocket Backdrops, glued it
and stamped again. After stamping the Happy Birthday
(from A Snarky Birthday to You set, sold out), I triple cut the
outline dragonfly from the Dragonfly Layering dies, stacked and
adhered to my card.

I love how the lavender matte brings out the flower behind
the dragonfly. And who knew that grungy cards could
look so clean! 😊
I have another project that features the Found Fragments #2 stamp,
but I'll put that on a separate post as I did a mixed media piece
and I took process photos. LOL!
I hope my cards show you how versatile these new
Found Fragments stamps are. From super grungy to CAS,
they work like a charm! If you feel like shopping the

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #278 L is for Leaves

Hello crafty friends and welcome!
Can you believe that it is already September?!
I know that it's still technically Summer, but I've
felt that slight turning of the season in the early mornings.
Since we are currently trying to survive the near 100 degree
weather, I'm ready for cooler days for sure.
It also looks like Edna is ready for some cooler days and
changing leaves, which is the new challenge at the
Here's my take on the challenge:

I used a stamp/stencil combo for the background panel using
Autumn colors. I added that adorable scarecrow along
with the sentiment and a few more leaves.

I hope that you'll join us in our Leaves challenge at the
Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. For more inspiration,
do check out what my teammates created, along with our
newest Queen, Anne.
