Whaley big birthday wishes

Hello and welcome friends!

You know when you see a sketch and

you get some crazy idea of how to

interpret it onto a card? Yeah, that's

what happened with this one:

I used the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, but I rotated

it so that the vertical lines were horizontal. See? It's ocean waves now!

I went full out artsy-fartsy with this, by tearing up different shades

of turquoise cardstock, (So therapeutic!), so that this wee orca had

something to swim in. Bonus: I used up some paper snippets. 😊

This was a cool sketch that really made

 me think outside my comfort zone. (Thank you!)

Hummingbird birthday

I used a brand new (to me) hummingbird layering die that

I'm so loving right now!

Shades of green and a pop of red. The ruby throated

hummingbird is the kind that I have zipping around my

hummingbird feeders. They are so much fun to watch!

Joy Christmas card

 Hello and welcome, friends!

This is my second post today, and

it's another Christmas card!

I still used traditional colors, but that black snowflake panel makes

this card a bit more dramatic.

Have a fruitful birthday

 Hello friends and welcome!

I have a fun card to share with you today:

This stamp from Lawn Fawn had little stick arms and legs

on it, but I only wanted to use the banana. So, after stamping

and coloring, I fussy cut them out and arranged them as a bunch.

For a bit of texture, I used a bit of corrugated paper I found in my stash.

I did some careful masking to turn the sentiment into a birthday theme.

This one came out better than I had imagined. 😄😄😄

I never think about using fruit in my card designs.

Guess I should do this more often. LOL!

Aqua Birthday Wishes

 Hello friends and welcome!

I hope that you are having a good day so far.

I have a card I'd like to share with you:

I wasn't sure if I could pull off a dogwood in shades

of aqua, but I'm really pleased with how this turned out. 😊

I used DOX in Peacock Feathers for the subtle shading.

The sentiment was stamped in the same color but in

Distress Ink, then I clear embossed it.

I added some white blizzard Nuvo Glitter drops to the

flower centers.

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #252 - L is for Sister Lindsey

Hello and welcome snarky friends!

This month the Sisterhood is paying tribute to our dear friend and

snarky sister, Lindsey Martin-Penny, who lost her battle

to a rare and aggressive form of ovarian cancer on July 21, 2022.

It's been two years and the Sisters still and always will

miss her terribly. As an homage to her, the 

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS

 invite you to create 

something that was inspired by Lindsey.

You can visit her blog for all kinds of inspiration.

(Just be sure to let us know what it was that inspired you,

as it may not be obvious.)

Those who knew her knew of her great love of cats, and punny

sentiments. I've combined both using

a never before used stamp set that I bought two years ago:

This is my artistic take on Lindsey's cat, Duncan. He looks

very dashing in his party hat. (Even though it's pink!)

A simple sentiment finishes the inside:
