SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #183 - M is for Monochromatic

Hello and happy Saturday to you!
We have a Monochromatic challenge starting today

I made a card with a bit of profanity on it, so heads up in case
you have the little ones around. You've been warned:

Anyone else take advantage of the 40% off sale recently at VLVS? I did!
This is a mix of NBUS stamps and an older one.
I adore the images from the ATC plate I purchased, and this one I felt
was made to go perfectly with my sentiment.
She's holding up her hand and I can just hear her saying, "Bitch, please." LOL!

I used beige card stock and Vintage Photo DI to make my card.
Very monochromatic....and snarky!

I hope that you find some time to play along in our monochromatic challenge
at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! Looking for more ideas? Do check out
what my Sistahs, and our reigning Queen, Carole, have made to inspire you!

Thanks for visiting! Have a wonderful day!

For my second project, I painted a few of the
CRAFTplorations Butterflies using the colors in the photo:

The raspberry butterfly is stenciled in white paint using the
Make Marks #3 ARTplorations stencil. Once the paint dried,
I placed the stencil back on and traced around the design
with a blue marker, to give it a fun, whimsical look:

On the green butterfly, I used a white Gelly Roll pen to trace the
design using the Swirly Blooms ARTplorations stencil. I dotted the
centers of the flowers with the raspberry paint:

On the blue butterfly, I started with one wing and using the white
Gelly Roll pen, traced the design from the Christmas Wreaths
ARTplorations stencil. Then I flipped the stencil over onto the
other wing, trying to line up the design as close as possible to get
a mirror image, and traced the design. I color filled the leaves and
berries with the same green and raspberry paints:

Once the sealer was dry, I added rhinestones to the bodies for
some sparkle! I haven't decided yet if I want to add these to
a wreath, or to make them into ornaments. Decisions, decisions! 😀

You still have plenty of time to link up your projects at
I hope you play along!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #443 - Plant Life

Happy Tuesday and welcome crafty friends!
We have a new challenge starting today at SHOPPING OUR STASH:
Plant Life. We are looking for all things leafy!
I uncovered a die that I bought last year, and it's the first time using it:

My leafy panel was created by sprinkling three colors of Magenta Nuance
powder dyes onto mixed media paper that I taped down. Then I just
spritzed water over it, letting the colors blend and do their thing.
It looks like a hot mess, but once you die cut it, it becomes
this gorgeous green border!

Before gluing it down, I placed it onto my card base, and lined up
the sentiment stamp inside my MISTI, removed the border, stamped
and heat embossed the sentiment in gold, then adhered the border.
Super simple! The hardest part was leaving the inked panel alone to dry naturally. LOL!

I hope you'll join the SOS Crew and link up your leafy project at
Shopping Our Stash! We'd love to see what you come up with.
Need more ideas? Simply check out the blogs of my teammies to
see what they created!

Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!

Sticker Monday at STAMPlorations (part 2!)

Hey crafty friends, welcome!
I'm up on the STAMPlorations blog with my second Sticker Monday post!
Today, I'm using stickers from the Inspirational #5 sticker pack.

(This post contains affiliate links. When you click on any of the STAMPlorations store links below and place an order,
I will receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.)

I had an idea to use some of the cover plate dies as a stencil to create a second
set of cards. Let me show you what I mean.
For my first card, I've used the Dragonfly cover plate die:

After die cutting, I placed another piece of white card stock under it and
carefully pounced various Distress Inks over it, making sure that I got ink
in the cut out areas.

Here's the finished card using the die cut panel:

For my second card, I used the Butterfly cover plate die in the same way
but using different Distress Inks:

On my last card, I've used the Bloomtangled #1 cover plate die.
This time, I pounced Distress Oxides, to change it up. LOL!

The finished card using the die cut:

On these three cards, I've added sequins from the Color Confetti ShakerBlends.
So, what about those "stenciled" panels? Here are the cards I've
created, using stickers from the Inspirational #4 package:

These are just a couple of fun ways to add stickers to your projects.

STAMPlorations Things with Wings Blog Hop and Linky Party

Good morning and welcome!
We are celebrating once again all things with wings
over at STAMPlorations! Leave comments and link up
your winged thing projects for a chance at winning
one of several prizes. Here is what I came up with:

(This post contains affiliate links. When you click on any of the
STAMPlorations links below and place an order, I will
receive a small commission at no cost to you.)

The background panel was die cut using the
Circles All Over Texture Cover Plate. Using a light teal card stock,
I die cut the Flutter Zen 1 Layering die. I sponged Mermaid Lagoon DI
around the outer edge of the top layer, and sponged the center of the bottom
layer. When you glue them together, it creates this really fun look!

The sentiment is from the Balloons and Banners stamp set,
heat embossed in white onto black card stock.
Once everything was assembled, I decided to carefully go
over the top layer of the butterfly with Wink of Stella, but of course,
with my crack photography skills, you can't see the shimmer. LOL!

I hope you'll join the STAMPgirls and link up your project

We'd love to see what you create!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #182 - D is for Distress

Good morning and welcome, snarky peeps!
It's time once again for the next challenge at the
This time around, we are getting all distressed!
Whether that be using Distress Inks/Oxides, distressing your
your paper, or just being anxious about the world at large,
it's all up to you how you want to interpret that.

For me? I've used Distress inks and I've also distressed the papers
 I've used on my card:

I used the technique where you add ink directly from your ink pad
to the stencil, spritz with water, then flip the stencil over onto card stock.
(and soaking up excess ink with a paper towel) I've used the same
inks on both panels but used different stencils on each.
(of course, I covered up most of the smaller panel, and you can
hardly see the dots on it. LOL!)

The inside has a simple sentiment to finish:

Because I had fun with my DI's, I made a second card:

I hope that you'll play along in our Distress challenge over at the
Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! For more great ideas, do check out
what my Sistahs, and our reigning Queen, Tristan, have created
for your viewing pleasure!

STAMPlorations April Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge!

Hello crafty friends, and welcome. Wow, it's already April!
I love this time of year, with all the flowers blooming and the
trees leafing out. Love this warmer weather!
Since it's the first of the month, it's time for the new
I used the photo as inspiration and used the
colors on my card:

(This post contains affiliate links. When you click on any of the STAMPlorations
store links below and place an order, I will receive a small commission
at no cost to you.)

For the background panel, I blended a few Distress inks over the
Burst Slimline Stencil. Using one of the stickers in the
Birthday Word Art clear stickers, I stuck it onto a piece of white
card stock, then used a few coordinating Spectrum Noir markers
to color it. (Yes! You can color the stickers!) I trimmed it up and added
a black matte under it before adhering to the card base.
Super fun and easy!

I hope that you'll link up a project at
to seeing how you interpret them!
