Here are a couple cards I made using Sanna's stencils:

I'm so glad that Shery sent me this stencil, as it's my favorite of all Sanna's
stencils. I really wanted to showcase this amazing, intricate stencil, so I made a
very CAS card, letting the design do all the work.
I've used the Evolution Artplorations stencil for my background. I die cut a strip
of vellum using one of the Art Edges CUTplorations dies, and heat embossed
the sentiment from the Trendy Feathers 2 stamp set.

For my second card, I made a whimsical birthday card,
using Sanna's Flowers 2 Artplorations stencil, and the

SHOPPING OUR STASH #331 Snow Much Fun

Hello and welcome friends.
This week at
we want to see your snow related projects!

I created a snowy scene on my card:

and the inside:

The snow scene was die cut from silver foil paper, and very hard to photograph!
The deer is cut from silver glitter paper, and I've added a teeny tiny red rhinestone
for his nose.

To continue that silver vibe, I heat embossed the
sentiments in silver EP.

We hope that you find some time this week to play along with our
snow themed challenge at Shopping Our Stash!
For more ideas, do yourself a favor and visit the blogs of my
very clever teammies to see what they came up with.

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #98 - I is for Industrial

Hello and welcome snarky peeps!
I hope those who celebrated had a happy Thanksgiving, and
that those who braved the Black Friday sales
made out with some excellent deals.

Our next challenge at the SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS
is one of my favorites: I is for Industrial
It's time to get your Steampunk on!! YAY!

I went all mixed media and created this canvas panel:
(grab your favorite beverage, this is gonna be a photo heavy post)

This baby has sooooo much texture!
There were some new to me techniques I tried out, one being how
I created those large cogs. I found some round chipboard frames in my stash
and decided to turn them into cogs using a hole punch!
They originally had a flowery pattern on them, but a couple coats of
gesso fixed that. Then I simply punched around the frames, being sure to
punch off the edge and not make a complete circle.

I also rediscovered a chipboard album, and used parts from that also. On the cogs and
frame, I used another new to me technique called the Faux Rust Technique by Andy Skinner,
using texture sand paste and DecoArt Media fluid acrylics.
Holy crap, I had a blast making rusty cogs! LOL!
The wooden butterfly was a gift from my E.D.M.T., Jessi.
(Evil Double Mint Twin)
I gave it a coat of gesso, then crackle paste, and then painted it.
(air drying between each process, of course)

Ok, so here are a bunch of close ups of the canvas:

 One last view :

I hope that this inspires you to unlock your inner muse and create
something steampunk! We'd love to see it in our gallery at the
Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! Need more ideas? Well then, do yourself
a favor and go check out what my Sistahs of Snark,
and our guest designer, Corrie, have created for your viewing pleasure!
Yay! You made it to the end!
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a fantastic day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #330 Quick Thank You

Hello friends and welcome!
This week at SHOPPING OUR STASH we are
challenging you to make a quick Thank You card in under 30 minutes!
This was incredibly hard for me, as I tend to
take at least two hours to make a card.
Seriously.
But, I persevered and was able to crank out
this beauty in just over 8 minutes!!
Woo Hoo!

I'm not sure if you know, but I trim all my card bases. No pre-made
bases for me, thank you very much. My time includes that.
The main panel was die cut then I stuck all those stickers on it,
being sure to stick some over the edge so I could trim off the excess.
(I also used up that sticker sheet, which was 10+ years old)
I die cut the THANKS, adhered and went over it with a
Wink of Stella pen. Done!
Why did this take over 8 minutes to slap some stickers down?
Because they were really sticking to the acetate, and so I had to
peel every. single. petal to make sure I didn't rip them.
I love how these flowers all have some silver foiling on them.

So now it's your turn. Can you create a Thank You card within 30 minutes?
We bet you can, try it! Be sure to link up at Shopping Our Stash so
we can admire it. Need some more ideas? Then simply stop by the blogs
of my teammies and leave some love while there! We all appreciate
your comments! Thanks for visiting!

Accessories: GC; Avery Elle - Double Pierced Rectangle die; Taylored Expressions - Thanks die;

STAMPlorations 3rd Annual GIVING THANKS Blog Hop & Linky Party!!

Hello crafty friends!
I'm so excited to be a part of the blog hop going on at STAMPlorations today:

There are 35 participating designers in all (8 of which are amazing
designers representing different challenge blogs), plus a linky party
that you can share your "thankful" cards and projects.
Oh, and there are prizes too!!

For my first card, I've used the Typografia- Thankful People stamp. This just
needed to be made into a chalkboard panel! After I heat embossed the
sentiment in white, I dry brushed white ink around the panel, then doodled above
and below it with a white PrismaColor pencil.
My background was die cut using the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting die.

Here's a close up:

I used sentiments from the Blossom Overture stamp set to finish the inside.

On my second card,
stamped onto a Luggage Tag Nesting die. I used the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting die for my background again. Some burlap ribbon, twine, and enamel dots finish my card.

Oh, and I did mention there were going to be prizes:

    Hello crafty friends!
I was in the ol' craft room and was making panels
using the smooshing technique. Here's a
card I made with one of them:

     and the inside:

That Wink of Stella pen on the stacked thanks die looks soooo shimmery
on black card stock. I'm also digging this color combo. I need
to use it more often. (grin!)

    Well, that's it for now.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day!
