SHOPPING OUR STASH #458 - You Don't Bring Me Flowers

Hello and good Tuesday morning!
We have a new challenge starting today at
This fortnight, we'd like to see a flower or flowers on your projects.
Pretty easy, eh? Here's what I came up with:

I started by stamping the In Bloom: Blissful Blooms stamp then
die cutting it using the crazy double running stitch rectangle die.
I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers and added some detail
work with a couple Prismacolor pencils. Stamped and heat embossed
the sentiment in white on black card stock then adhered everything
on a white card base. I added Nuvo Glitter Drops to the flower
centers and scattered some pearls around to finish.

Another sentiment finishes the inside:

Now it's your turn! I hope you'll join the SOS Crew in our
flower challenge at Shopping Our Stash! For more inspiration,
do check out the fabulous flower projects that my teammies created!

You're how old?

 Hello crafty peeps!
I've had some playtime in the craft room and
was able to make the all illusive guy card:

and the inside:

I saw this stencil tutorial by Craftyfield and wanted to try it out.
I followed her example by blending ink for the first layer, then
using turquoise tinted gesso for the top layer.
This was my second attempt. The first attempt I tried pouncing the paint
through the stencil using a sponge and when I removed the stencil,
the paper ripped in spots:

I'm guessing that I took too long to remove the stencil, the paint dried and stuck.
You also get to see the actual turquoise color here, as the
white gesso I used lightened up the color when I mixed it.
I used an image and sentiment from a new stamp set I recently
purchased, stamped in brown ink. I added just a touch of
turquoise marker on the image.
I really love how this turned out, and I encourage you to try
the stencil technique I tried. It has a really cool effect!
Thanks for visiting. Have a wonderful day!

A Tiny Craft October ATC Challenge

Hello and welcome!
It's time for our third challenge at
As you may have guessed, the theme this month is Halloween! 👻

I created a trio of artist trading cards this time around:
\\
Here are some close ups:

I recycled some cardboard for my cards. Coated them with gesso and once dry,
painted them with a couple hues of orange paint and let dry. Next I spread embossing paste
through a jack-o-lantern stencil, then sprinkled black embossing
powder over the pattern. I let them dry overnight then heat
embossed. I thought that the orange was a bit bright so I smudged
black Staz On ink around the edges. (note: next time do this
before stenciling!) I fussy cut images from some Graphic 45
paper and adhered with foam squares. I could have added more but
I didn't want to completely cover up the jack smiles in the background. LOL!
They are pretty shiny in real life:

Now it's your turn! I hope that you find some time to play along in our

STAMPlorations October Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge

(This post contains affiliate links. When you click on any of the STAMPlorations
store links below and place an order, I will receive a small commission at no additional
cost to you.)

Hello crafty friends and welcome! It's October and that means
You can use just the theme, or just the photo prompt, or combine both
for your projects. I've used both, getting inspiration from the photo to
create my sun rays:

I started by stamping this lovely lady image from the
Fierce and Brave stamp set directly onto my card base, then
again on masking paper and trimmed that to size. Underneath I stamped
one of the sentiments from the Shine Bright stamp set. Placing the
mask over the image, I created my sun rays then removed the mask.
I created a frame in black glitter card stock using the
Crazy Double Running Stitch Nesting dies. Before gluing the frame down,
I gave the rays a good coating of Wink of Stella and also added some
DecoArt Media Liquid Glass and let dry.

So shiny!
